Your right N.T. each school likes to talk about it's record starting with the most convenient year...heck at Linfield we have go back 54 years... ;D

I considered mentioning your streak in my original post, but then I realized I'd be saying something nice about Linfield.  The thought of tainted karma points made me shudder and I deleted that part.

In other news, just 3 months till my contract is up and I can watch some Oxy football in person.  :D

Good strategy.  Those who try the hardest for tainted karma points, have ended up with huge negative balances. :-X

The old 15th club in the bag: 10 degree foot wedge. Some of my close buddies use it very well.

Hey What's That White Stuff All Over the Eagle Rock guys....did you recognize Casa Bianca on the cover of LOS ANGELES MAGAZINE April 2010?

Sabretooth Tiger

Dens,

Gathering dust, not mold . . . .  ;)

Heavy work load, lazy ass getting fatter and not training . . . and the youngster is much more interested in pickin'up the guitar and strummin' than than pickin' up the stick and paddlin' . . . so I travel the path of least resistance . . . as is my wont (see "lazy ass" reference above).

I never got what all the fuss was about with Casa Bianca.  Why wait in line and overpay for a pizza when you can go to Italiano's in Highland Park and get great pizza and $4 32oz beers?  It's always nearly empty and they have a big-screen for football.  That's where all the "amped-up Occidental College jocks" (as LA Mag put it) really hang out.

Gig Harbor Cat

RFB,
We only use that club when WE are in the bag !!

There's a good reason that dump Italiano's is always nearly empty. It's terrible. The La Verne of pizza. Casa Bianca and the Capri are infinitely better. No contest.

Redlands recruiting news from the Orange County Register:

Quote
And two Northwood [High School (Irvine)] football players, Kyle Beane and David Woolbert, also announced their future plans.
...

On Thursday, football coach Rick Curtis announced that Kyle Beane will continue his football career by attending Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash.

Whitworth has tabbed Beane as a quarterback on their future 2010 roster, Curtis said.

The Whitworth Pirates are an NCAA Division III school and will travel to Southern California during the 2010 season to play Pomona Pitzer (Claremont) and the University of Redlands, Curtis added.

Woolbert, a running back and defensive back, will continue his football playing career by attending the University of Redlands, Curtis said.

Redlands is also an NCAA Division III school. Woolbert, will join 2006 Northwood High graduate, Dan Selway, who plays quarterback for the Bulldogs, Curtis added.

"Selway enters his final season at Redlands and stands to rewrite the passing records at Redlands," Curtis said.

Beane and Woolbert will be on opposite sides of the field when the two teams play on Sept. 18 at Redlands.

Dan Selway is still at Redlands?! Sheesh, don't players ever run out of eligibility at UR? Back to lose his 6th straight to Oxy.

OxyBob

dahlby

Don't know much about him, but there is another Selway coming out of Villa Park High School in Orange County.

I was just telling CalCat last week @ the baseball games in Orange that Selway was back for the final stretch & after CC counted all his fingers and toes he disagreed with me.

I disagree w/ Northwood HS because Danny Boy has been listed as Villa Park for 6-7 years by Redlands SIDs.

Being a Redlands SID is a prerequisite to being a Redlands newspaper reporter. :-[
