So they got smart and moved down off the plateau into the cool breezes. Are they at the old Raider camp, I wonder? We all agree they WERE in Thousand Oaks.....40 years ago.

There is a Cowboy star in the floor of the locker room still... Things haven't changed much in the last 40 years...

Won't the Cowboys  be looking for a backup for Romo soon?   It sems like a good place for Goltz to go.  Just don't get involved with Jessica. ;)

I can't beleive Romo is still there. They have had all the talent in the world the last 4 years or so, but I think Romo just isn't a play-off big time QB... too inconsistent. Not to mention dating and golf seem to outweigh the need for a Superbowl  ;D

Yes, only unlike the Raiders, the Cowboys don't put up a black tarp on the fence surrounding the field so no one can watch practice.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL OF YOU FOOTBALL DAD'S OUT THERE!   :)

Happy Father's Day

A Dad is a person
who is loving and kind,
And often he knows
what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens,
suggests, and defends.
A dad can be one
of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do,
a dad's love plays a part.
There's always a place for him
deep in your heart.
And each year that passes,
you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
just to call him your dad!
Thank you, Dad...
for listening and caring,
for giving and sharing,
but, especially, for just being you!
Happy Father's Day

Article in the Ventura County Star about CLU's proposed new football stadium:

QuoteT.O. planning panel to consider new CLU stadium

When Ben McEnroe went to play football at California Lutheran University in 1991, he was told he'd be playing in a new stadium by his senior year.

"It went from being a hope to a recurring joke," McEnroe said.

The recurring joke may very well become a reality this week when the proposed William Rolland Stadium goes before the Thousand Oaks Planning Commission on Monday. And McEnroe, now Coach McEnroe to current CLU football players, will be able to tell players there will be a new stadium in all seriousness — if the commission approves the project.

"It would help us in recruiting tremendously," McEnroe said. "The No. 1 thing we hear about from people we recruit is the stadium. ... Other schools we recruit against, they try to use it against us. We've had players attend different schools because they didn't like the stadium."

The proposed $8 million stadium, which would also field soccer matches, would feature 2,000 seats, a scoreboard, six flagpoles, a 70-foot clock tower and an art gallery.
...

The stadium would be located on the north side of Olsen Road about 500 feet east of Campus Drive and west of Mountclef Boulevard. It would feature locker rooms, coaching offices, meeting rooms, a press box and VIP lounge. The proposed art gallery would house Rolland's collection of bronze statues and other works.

Rolland, of Westlake Village, did not attend CLU, but donated $5 million for the new football stadium.

McEnroe said the new offices would be welcome, noting that the floor of his current office slopes to the west.
...

University officials have discussed the project with area residents, said Cindy Keitel, community relations coordinator. The school has set up a website with information about the project, which is expected to be completed next year if approved.

Leopold said the city has received one letter from a resident who was concerned about the existing traffic circulation in the area, but the rest of the comments she's received have supported the project.

All the essentials.

I didn't read where there's any plans to let me set up my stadium chair and cooler on the field at the 20 yard line. Sacrilege.
