Any insight into when he'll be leaving?    ;)

No, but the week one game film of your D will provide all the insight any of our runningbacks need should we see Linfield on the schedule in November.

Yes--please use that tape as the basis for any potential attack against the Cats should it come to that---the Defense hasn't  changed a bit since week 1;  just ask Willamette.... ;)
Go Cats!

I think there is still too much up in the air to be talking about a Linfield/CLU rematch...for now.

I'll be curious to see what happens if PLU, Redlands, CLU, and Linfield wins out.  Is it Linfield and CLU only?  Do they take PLU or Redlands?  Do they take both PLU and Redlands and have a 4 team west coast mini region?  Lots of things are going to happen over the next three weeks including both CLU and Linfield having to win their conference titles.

Good to see that Redlands finally ended the Oxy streak and in a big way. I hope the Dawgs can continue to win out and give themselves a small sliver of a chance at a postseason berth. Good luck to Oxy the rest of the way!

No doubt CLU and Linfield need to win out not only for their own good, but for any of the others teams vying for that small inch of a chance to get a Pool C bid (PLU, Redlands, etc.) they need all the strength they can get from within their opponent and conference schedules.

I can't see Redlands making it in, unless the 2 point loss to CLU as their only blemish really gives them a bump. With Oxy's stock being a bit down as from past years I don't think they have enough solid wins on their schedule to impress the board.

PLU has in my opinion a strong shot at a Pool C bid. I think some other schools around the nation will have to help them out with a loss here or there to get bumped up (I have no idea what the pool C teams are shaping up like), but if they can beat Willamette it seems like they right there in the discussion.

Then the real question is where does that leave CLU? I assume PLU would get sent to Linfield for the sake of $$$ , would CLU have to go to Wisconsin? Texas?

When do the regional rankings start? That should help a bit in the big picture talks.

K4,
Insider info says Linfield and PLU win out.  PLU will come to their final resting place  THE CATDOME.  You guys will be road dogs to the east.

Thats all I got

Well, I'm just getting back from Redlands so I'm late to the "Boards", but I just wanted to say.........although I am so happy for our "W" over Oxy, I am also embarassed to hear that our fans acted so immaturely after the game.  I know sorry doesn't always cut it, I would hope that something like that doesn't happen again (but unfortunately, we can't control everyone)!

Glad to hear that Cory (#40) is doing well.  Concussion are so scary.  My friends son took a helmet to helmet hit last year and it ended is football career.  He went from a Straight A student to struggling to get C's this year.  Still suffers from severe headaches, loss of concentration and has a hard time sleeping.  So I wish Cory a speedy and COMPLETE recovery! It's just a reminder (even though we love this game) it can be dangerous.

Good luck to everyone this weekend.  I hope there are a few "shake ups" and "surprises" in the next few weeks to make it exciting for all of us.

OXY FAN:  I've said it once, and I will say it again..........your team is lucky to have you on the field taking such great pictures!

If your friend hasn't reached out to this group already, having met with Dr. Tony Strickland of the Los Angeles based Sports Concussion Institute (www.concussiontreatment.com), they should look them up.

Its a top notch organization and its local.

When do regional rankings come out?

Does Redlands have a shot at all?  It seems like nobody thinks they do but wouldn't only a 2-point loss (assuming they win out) to a conference champion (assuming CLU wins out) boost them a little?  How would it work?

I think regionals come out as early as tomorrow, I believe.

Usually there's a ton of 1-loss teams competing for 6 at-large bids. I think their strength of schedule will have to be strong to be considered.

UR has the usual 3 chances: Slim, none, and fat.

Aside from Snarky McSnarkerson's take on the matter, Redlands does have a decent shot because their SOS is pretty good this year. They scheduled well out of conference.
