Sorry to hear of the Oxy loss (or beating by Redlands).  I guess the streak had to end sooner or later, but hopefully both the winners and losers can be humble.

On a brighter note for Oxy fans - including me :) - QB Justin Goltz Oxy '09, has signed a contract to finish the CFL season with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he also has been offered a spot for the 2011 season.

I haven't posted in a while, but be assured I still read and enjoy most of the posts.

I was going to remind you of the opportunities here in Dallas next year, but I have been reminded that there might not be  NFL football in 2011.  Canada sounds good. :)

Will SCIAC vote Chapman In or out ?

OXYBOB will vote NO.... >:(

Crash votes YES  ;D

The shrinking number of independent teams has made this a necessity. Cal State East Bay  D2, Menlo, La Sierra went to NAIA. University of Dallas to join SCAC in 2012.

Chapman trying for a SCIAC spot...

CLU will vote "yes" as they view Chapman as a "qualified transfer".

We only take transfers that can come in and compete right away ...  :D

Hope your are only talking football since I bet you will have plenty of competition in the other sports... ;D

Plus your really need a another member of the Cat Family since you already have Tigers and Leopards. A Panther will round things out for the Kingsmen can attempt to slay in ALL SPORTS. Big question is will they get the votes to get in ???

I don't pay too much attention to CLU's other teams to be honest but looks like these others sports will be ok against Chapman:

Since we are playing with metaphors then yes they might - but then first would donkey stomp your "Salty D" for 200 in one half of play...  :o

First off, it's Monkey Stomp...and yeah impressive 2nd half indeed.  Can't argue that.  I would come back with a snappy retort but I'm going to have to leave for the board for now due to "personal reasons". ;)

Get used to this. It could be up on the SCIAC website page by September 2011
It will help the SCIAC for pool C bids in many sports....since it brings a stronger program into the league for
many sports. It is a natural fit...

I don't know how hard a monkey can stomp but I just felt that it didn't put enough emphasis on what took place.   :D

Tell  me K-4 if a Monky Stomp is the same as a Honky Stomp or a Poach Monky Stomp?

Of course Cal Lu wants Chapman in the conference.  They will no longer be the academic doormat of the conference.

Don't kid yourself. Unless your degree says Pomona, Claremont, or maybe even Occidental on it you probably have no more prestige than any other private school in So Cal.

Redlands doesn't exactly pop eyeballs out when you mention where you went to college - "you mean where we stopped for gas on the way to Palm Springs?"

:D
