Not to beat a dead horse but, not sure why CLU couldn't have hosted here

Because they didn't play any regular-season home games there.

Not only that, but how would playing at Moorpark College have given CLU any home field advantage? And spare me the plane ride argument.

OxyBob

The number of people in the stands rooting for CLU as oppossed to Linfield, and the weather would be the only two arguments I can think of.

Moorpark is close enough that all the students, fmaily, and fans that really wanted to see the game would go. I'm sure the showing of CLU fans at Linfield was less than astounding.

It will be a non issue in 2011 on hosting for Cal Lu. 1) Win the SCIAC 2) Have the best record 3) Host at your new stadium in 2011. No use trying to beat this horse any longer....NEVER try to figure out the NCAA, you will go crazy....
This... is a simple game. You throw the ball. You hit the ball. You catch the ball.  "There are three types of baseball players: those who make things happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened."

The teams have been announced. Just curious, when the coaches vote are they voting on the performance for the entire season or just the conference games ??

Thanks

Poet4Life... i believe the coaches only go off of the numbers, statistics, and performances during conference games. I could be wrong but that is what I was told.

I was hoping Barta would win Defensive player of the year and CLU would have another DE win the award... but it is hard to argue against Nicolini and everything he has done in his 4 years at Redlands. He was the best safety I ever played against. Also good to see a lot of the CLU players on all conference teams.

D O.C.

So there are many All Conference guys returning for the Solutes next year and a couple for La Verne.
Looks like every game is going to be a playoff game for LINFIELD.

Kingsmen4

I thought they did a good job on the selection this year. Nicolini was tough and deserves the accolades, but I was more impressed in watching him play during his Soph/Junior seasons than this year (Despite the crazy pic to the house he had on us in the Redlands game). This is the first non-DE to win it in a while, seems wierd.

CLU got a great representation, and it shows how strong our entire line-up will be next year. Gotta love that Tim Cozine (DB) to my knowlege had never played football before coming to Cal LU. I beleive he was a B-Ball player that ended up trying out for football one spring as an athlete, and less than 2 years later is on the 1st team all conference squad?!

Rogers will be the best WR in CLU history when it is all said and done, and is one of the most raw receivers I have seen at this level. The kid continues to get better every game, it will be exciting to see him continue to progress for two more years.

Gio Lapp should have landed 1st team honors. He is the smallest CLU lineman (was likely the biggest 2 years ago  :D) but is in my opinion the best Olineman we have.

Congrats again to the continued success of CLU Football - Keep progressing like we have the past 4 years and we will get deep into the playoffs sooner than later.

LeopardEYES

Thomas Arguello from the Leopards should have been mentioned if not New Comer of the Year! The league is crazy for completly ignoring the fact that he put LV on his back when he was in as the 3rd QB and eventually took the starting job and brought the Leos their first victory in a while.
Wardell Campbell representing the "951" the lone ranger of LV with a FIRST TEAM selection HOPEFULLY!!!the new La Verne head coach will pull it together because 4-32 is a disgusting record all-time as a HC and personally I would've canned him last year after 0-9.

Goodluck next year and GO LEOS!

Sorry... hard to give an LV player any recognition when they have only won 1 game in past 2 seasons... LV has been down for a couple years... hlopefully new coach can change things around because LV used to be a quality team.

I thought you liked ULV?! Ever since the day that he dropped 6 TD's on them in one game...

Hahaha... that was a lucky day... it was one of those days that things bounced my way.

Jacob Caron was the North QB in the D3 Senior Game.    He looked very good.

Good for him.... I would have liked to see what he could have done in the SCIAC if he would have played for CLU, Oxy, or Redlands. More weapons and a better Defense. He could have put up some impressive stats as well as won a lot more games. Just a thought.
