I can still see that field goal sailing, sailing, sailing                                                       short.

I can still see that cloudburst that lasted all of 68 seconds at the wrong time for the home team.

Someday when I'm old I suppose the two memories will mesh. Not now,Kingsman4.

Someday when I'm old(er) I will convince the young posters it never happend

Wow...look at Redlands.  Via D3football.com's facebook page

"Well, scratch yesterday's update. North Central will be playing at Redlands for its opening game of the season rather than at Coe. Coe is back on the market."

Big game and upgrade for Redlands.  Guess those phone lines were installed.

I lost count, is Dan Selway returning this year?

Dan Sleway: the George Blanda of Division III.

Yep. And so anyone who wants to go to Coe for a one-game series on Sept. 3 or 10, they're open again.

Sounds like some higher-high up at North Central wanted to do this instead of go to Iowa.

Maybe Whitworth will pick up Coe and drop Redlands so they can end their SCIAC smack streak?

:D

I suspect both Redlands and North Central find it difficult to attract non-conference opponents (though perhaps for different reasons), so the two-year deal was appealing.

It's not clear that this means Coe/North Central is off the table.  I wouldn't be surprised if North Central and Coe agree to a Sept. 10 game.

Not really for Redlands....there has been one NWC school begging to play them for years but no dice. :)  However, congrats on scheduling the game it should be a good non-conference tilt.

Well, North Central told Coe the game was off but perhaps you know different.

I was just speculating from the following data:  NCC & Coe have been in conversation, NCC has an open date on 9/10 and you reported that Coe has an opening 9/10.  But Coe's web site now shows that 9/10 is booked, so obviously the game is off.

Pat Coleman

I believe playing Coe on 9/10 would mean North Central plays 11 games. My understanding is when NCC booked Redlands, they called Coe to pull out of their believed-to-be-set game.

I think NCC currently has only 9 games lined up:  7 CCIW contests and 2 non-conference games (Redlands & Olivet).  Cornell backed out of the 2nd year of its 2-year agreement with NCC.

I suppose there's not much reason to continue this conversation on the SCIAC board!

Wow - that is indeed a big game for Redlands. Looking forward to that one at The Runner.
