Thanks I'll check it out.  Won't be anything like it I guess??
If you mean Mt. Clef and the New William Roland Stadium on campus ... it will be about as similar as Coffee and water... or Whittier and Oxy if you are a SCIAC poster.

Mt. Clef was small, unassuming, "charming" (depending on who you ask), casual, timeless (stands that small can't fall apart)...

William Roland will be more to the tune of extravagant, modern, lighted (lol)...

Either way it is the start of a new chapter and will be great for the school. We had an alumni reunion at the end of June and it was funny hearing how the guys as far back as the 70's were told they would play in a new state of the art stadium ... so CLU finally came though on its promise (after 30 years of pitching it to recruits). I wouldn't trade Mt. Clef for any stadium in the nation after playing 4 years in it though – tough to explain to kids coming in who's high school freshman teams had bigger crowds, but once you play there you fall in love with it.

Won't be anything like it...like on the West coast for Dlll...Pro turf...TV lighting, snazzy locker rooms...one would begin to think a Pro Team might be wooed for a training facility??

Also glad to hear that a booster club of sorts has become a reality!!

One might think alot of junior college transfers would be looking at it too.

That new stadium at Cal Lu is going to be a dandy!!  Happened to see it first hand the other day and if what I was told might just be ready for the home opener??????????????????

You can watch the construction via a live webcam:

The progress has been significant since I saw it in June, apparently they missed some time due to weather back in the winter and have upped the crews to make up for lost time. At this rate I would hope that it will be ready to roll, but they still have a long way to go in a short period of time. Going from Mt. Clef to Moorpark College will not have the same luster....

Football stadium and art gallery?
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

It is a win win situation...the doner, William Roland, is also an art collector and CLU needed a new stadium so the two came together and voila!  William Roland Stadium and or yes a place to house my collection.

I don't need to see a construction camera or the finished product. The best SCIAC football stadium will always be Ted Runner. And oh yeah before I forget, puck the Who!

RFB ... I agree! I never enjoyed winning anywhere else like I did at the runner!!!  ;D

The new CLU stadium will blow the runner out of the water, and will not shake everytime a car goes to park like at Chapman. It will be the nicest stadium on the west coast.

Props to Luis Villavicencio, Cal Lutheran CB, who was named to the 2011 D3football.com preseason All-America team, and to Rian Younker, Cal Lutheran DT, who was named to the Second Team.   ;D

How could they lose...on a field goal at the end of the game?

WR, Eric Rogers from CLU will be on the list at the end of the season. And if speculation is true, passing on the LU is going to be even more of a challenge, beyond Luis V.

K-4, are you refering to a db that played 2 yrs ago but missed last year.If that is the case ,passing on CLU would be very tough. Do you know anything about the de position, replacing Barta is going to be hard.

We have some potentially strong transfers and young guys stepping up from what I have heard... All else remains to be seen when camp starts.
