And the SCIAC has pretty much played itself out.  Cal Lu has absolutely destroyed the conference (minus the 1st half against Redlands) and everyone else is beating up on each other.  My question is if Redlands wins out, will they get a bid and go to CLU again?  Will they get a bid?
Interesting question indeed.  If they win out, many people think they will deserve a bid.  However, they have not been doing themselves any favors with a lot of closer than they should be to some sub-par SCIAC teams.  Also, deserving a bid and getting a bid seem to be two different things especially for West Coast teams.  Let's consider another thing, up North we currently have Lewis and Clark and Linfield sitting undefeated.  Assuming they both win next week (which is anything but a given as L&C has Willamette and Linfield has Whitworth) then we end up with an undefeated and a 1 loss team in the NWC.  You could then make an argument for 4 West Coast teams.  Do I think that would happen---no way, but it would make things much more interesting.  I think if Redlands gets a bid they either go to Linfield or back to Thousand Oaks.  If they did to Linfield then Cal Lu would probably not be home....but that would be two first round flights in the West which is not how they like to do things....We shall see.....

Agreed on the fact that Redlands has played some games way too close against pretty bad teams.  If they do not get a bid, does CLU go back to Linfield....again?

Most likely...and as a Linfield fan, I'm sick of CLU (and a little nervous having watched them improve as the season has progressed)....

The Wildcats may already be looking ahead to CLU...especially in view of their "ugly win" against the Oaks.

As a CLU fan, I too am sick of Linfield, mainly the trip up to Boregon. Althought it would be another test for us against a very strong opponent, I feel both sides want to see some new faces across the field.

Or convince the NCAA to give CLU the home game, Thousand Oaks is a lot nicer that time of year than McMinnville.  ;)

Good Homecoming victory for the Kingsmen, and congrats to CLU Senior OL Gio Lapp for his first career rushing touchdown.

In order for CLU and linfield to meet in the first round, the brains to be would have to rank CLU lower 4 in the region and right now there is no way they could do this ::),if CLU wins out.if a win out happens the ncaa just may have to pay for 2 trips unless redlands can hold a 5 spot.

TO Pat Colman,Mr. Mosier,( of CLU fame) gave a little plug to d3.com. in the ventura star.He was wondering why no love ever comesto CLUs o-line? ;D

I'm not sure what you are saying.  But if you think the  brackets are made up like a normal tournament, you are seriously mistaken.  One can easily play two in the first round if it saves the NCAA money.  We complain, but a poorly bracketed tournament is better than no playoffs.

Fox ,i did not know that. i thought it was like a normal seeding thing.in the 2 years ive been following this stuff it just seemed to work out that way, thanks for the rude awakening :o

Saw the video! There are 239 offensive lines and we've had eight Team of the Week releases so far. Not sure if Cal Lutheran's line has been nominated for all of its games but I know Cal Lu does nominate players.

In the same video, Mr. Mosier says all they do all week is think about football. I wonder if perhaps they should think about their schoolwork? Hmm...

Mr. Ypsi

Actually, the great majority of pairings (and hostings) follow the seedings, but GF is correct - ultimately (despite the selection committees) the bean-counters will sometimes overrule seedings to save money.  Such is life in "The Minors". :P

The good news is that (despite the occasional cries of conspiracy theorists) there is no evidence that the bean-counters get involved in the selections themselves, only (occasionally) in the pairings of teams once they have been selected.

Well, we'll see. It might be the only football stadium in the nation with an obstructed view press box, too.

I think we have one of those at Linfield as well...those pesky polls get in the way at either end if I'm not mistaken...
