Great game yesterday between UMHB and Redlands. Redlands came out with a lot of fire, a great crowd, and really played well through the first half, but it seemed to me that UMHB was just more experienced and battle tested. Late in the game, the QB looked really good both on his legs and through the air. He has a lot to be happy about and build on.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

The trip to Texas was well worth it even though we weren't on the winning side of the scoreboard!  Great turnout by the Redlands fans as usual!  Always sad to see the Seniors play their last game, glad they got to experience the playoffs.  Best part of the day........I got to meet Grey Fox in person!  Thank you for the Texas hospitality and hopefully our young players (and coaches) will have grown from this experience and be back in the playoffs next year.   :)

Listened to the Cal Lu/Linfield game on my ride back to the hotel.  WOW, what an exciting game and we DAWGS know how it feels to lose a game at the end via a BLOCKED FIELD GOAL KICK!   >:(

Safe travels to everyone and enjoy your upcoming Holidays..............Guess we'll all meet up again next fall!

Thanks for making the trip to Texas, hope you had an enjoyable weekend and safe travels back to Cali.                                                                                          Yes your Dawg fan representaion was very good. I really didn't expect to see such a good gathering of So Cal fans. And wow! that lady in the stands, lower level mid field. Boy what a set of lungs on her! We sure could here her from clear up on the home side LOL!. Great fan support for sure. Now was she your wife :) ha ha ha.                                                                                                                      Congrats to all the Redlands football family and players on a successful year. You have a good coaching staff led by  Coach Mike Maynard. I am quite sure he will work hard and diligent to be back in the coming years. He most definitely helped in the development of my Son's football play and abilities.                                                  My Son attended Coach Maynards week long,ASC full contact camps  for 4 straight summers there at Redlands U. It was at Coach Maynards camps that gave him the inspiration and confidence to play at the next level.                                                   He was a 4 year starter here at UMHB and enjoyed  4 ASC Championships,2 trips to the semi finals and 2 trips to the quarter finals. Thanks again to coach Maynard and then coach O'boyle . We hope to see you back next season in the playoff brackett.   Go Cru!

Lever Street

You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

Bubs thank you,i swear i thought the ncaa would have never schedule these teams 3 years in a row they both deserve much better.but if we have to lose in the first round linfield is the team(total class program and tough as nails)
Or you could have been sent to Belton.   ;)

Hey it is tough out on the islands.  The good thing is the number of eyes from D-III that were watching the last of the Linfield-CalLU game!  It was a good one!

Pat Coleman

Funny, Ralph -- Keith and I were just talking about the number of eyeballs for that game ourselves. It's part of the podcast. Keith is almost done talking and we'll have it out in less than an hour.

OK, yes, I'm talking too. It's not just him. :)

Would you stop with that 'brilliant' description? 'Heroic', maybe.
Brilliant is what Whitewater and Mount Union have done the last 6 years.

SCIAC suggestion....suggest not to refer to your team as the greatest in school history until they bring home the Walnut and Bronze.

Comment.

Brilliant, Bob.  (Or perhaps heroic; I'm not sure which.)  Worth sticking with the board all season just for that.  Classic.

That 1971 NAIA CHAMPIONSHIP team must be the greatest CalLu team. They got in to the playoffs with a loss and won. You think the NCAA is hard to figure, the NAIA selection committee was bonkers.
While I don't go back quite to 1971 I always thought the NAIA selection was easy to understand, albeit the "rules" for selecting hosts were screwy but ultimately understandable.

OK...there has been much speculation about the NCAA DIII Playoff Bracket Pairings....here is my idea and I would like your comments to refine it:

Here's an idea:

Take the top 4 teams and put them in 4 different brackets as #1 seeds. Then take the next 8 top teams (according to d3football.com poll...since they know better than any other poll/body) and divide them 2 each per bracket (it doesn't really matter after 4 because everybody after that point is pretty equal)... with those 2 teams in one side of the bracket, so the top team would supposedly play the winner of those 2 if they made it that far....then sprinkle all the other qualifier teams according to region in the 4 brackets....problem solved.

Makes sense to me. A proposal like that would never be considered though.

Especially you solutes who get to be at home while we have to be away from home at some place called Delaware.
