Looks like former Arroyo standout Rivera did real good. He wanted the opportunity to continue his quarterbacking and he gets the opportunity to do just that.

he was more than solid and with all the weapons we have..it makes his job easier.

The Whittier CaLU game is about a month off. That should be a test.

I think as far as skill position wise Whittier matches up with the Lutherans...Its usually in the DLine where Whittier is outmatched.  Should be a high scoring affair (assuming all are healthy).

who the heck on whittier is going to cover the wrs.,if they play a dime clu will just pound the rock, whittier sounds like they are improved from the last few years, but the one good team you played this year beat you pretty soundly till late  scores made it closer than it was . its still a long season, and lets see how it plays out Clu will play 1 game at a time and worry about the poets when its their turn ;)

Actually Rivera was a pretty good safety as well as a QB. . . . Some schools saw him as a safety rather than a QB

I heard CLU wanted him to come in as a db,guess he wanted to play qb instead and looks like he plays that position  pretty well.

im not claiming The Poets are the next coming or are gonna beat Cal Lu, but I am saying its a better team than recents years and they will compete. We'll worry about Chapman first :)

I heard that, too. And he does want to play QB.  My son is a CLU freshman this year and both players were at the awards banquet for NFF. They were talking about the where and why for college selection.

Is your son on the team, or are you just a parent of a student?  You seem to get some good inside info.
