I don't think anyone is asking for bulletin board material, and we certainly don't expect CLU players to be posting.  We're just surprised that CLU fans aren't engaging in conversation about the two teams.  http://youtu.be/CQFEY9RIRJA

Well, I think that on the CCIW board, we have good conversations above matchups that discuss team strengths and statistics. With two teams that don't know much about either, I expected more discussion about offensive/defensive set (i.e. spread offense, 3-4/4-3 defense, agressive/conservative), players to watch, etc.

I'll give you this----watch Eric Rogers, WR for CLU---if he is not slowed down then the CLU offense will be scoring a lot.  The D has been banged up and has given up huge yards on the run the last few weeks.  If I read things right, NCC likes to run it (60% of the time?) and may have success with that this week.  If NCC can slow down the CLU offense and grind out the running game they will be in good shape.  If they get into a shootout then I think CLU may have the edge.....

The SCIAC hasn't won a playoff game since 2004, so rather than talk X's and O's, the CLU fans have their fingers crossed.

Weather forecast for Saturday: 30% chance of rain.

Sound incredibly boring.

I hate this game unless we get healthy in a hurry on d. CLU  d will have to play 2 good halfs against ncc to beat them.We have been getting by playing 1 good half.CLUs depth on d is what worries me.If we get back a couple of players this week it will help a bunch. Bottom line is CLU just has to score 1 more point than ncc ,it does'nt have to be pretty.

I would say watch for #4 but it won't take long to find him. We need to LIMIT the rushing TD's & Sacks, and force a few turnovers we will win the game.

This board usually just sticks to low blows and back and forth that has nothing to do with football. OxyBob used to give insight leading into the playoffs but then Oxy got rid of their football program.

Well, there's an NCC/OXy connection, sorta, that few people know probably about. In 1979, an NCC assistant was named head coach at Oxy. However, he resigned before the season and Bruce Allen (son of George Allen) was named to replace him. It seems that Bruce Allen only coached that one season.

This should be an interesting matchup. NCC has one of the better cover corners in all DIII (Josh Mitchell). He'll have his toughest challenge of the year going up against Rogers.

This is the first-round game I'm looking forward to the most.

Bruce Allen was the youngest college head coach in the country that year.  He was awful, but I guess he has continued  that in the pros (see attached.  This important fact as a college coach is not even in Wikipedia.

Right after he left, Oxy hired a good coach.  He was last seen coaching special teams at L&C. :'(

ncc_fan  just Find Stoonk walking around the grounds between Rolland Stadium and the Sports Center and he will tell you what is going on with Cal Lutheran Football. He dresses somewhat like a colorful clown so he will be easy to spot!
