It seems that Bruce Allen only coached that one season.

I remember Bruce Allen. He was 1-7-1 in 1979, the one season he coached at Oxy. The Tigers lost three games to D-I teams: Southern Utah State, USD, and Cal Poly Pomona. His record was not really much worse than what happened this season. Allen was replaced by Jerry Howell, who lasted two seasons and went 5-12. Howell was replaced by Dale Widolff, who in 30 seasons went 178-101-2.

Bob,
Thanks for the correction.  I think USD was a D3 independent at that time.

Correct. And Southern Utah was Division II, as was Cal Poly Pomona.

For this weekend and maybe one more, Cal Who shall get their Lu back. I foresee a big win for Cal Lu in TO tomorrow...

D O.C.

I feel Romello Goodman will have a steady game and may be able to break one or two.  It won't be through the interior unless BenM has been watching LINFIELD's under 5'10" backs.
Why the feeling? He's good and NCC will be double covering and cheating a 3rd on Eric Rogers.
Rain won't be bothering this game.

I love the playoffs, we just all get along ; ;),i just hope a west coast team comes out on top.(screw the rest of the country :))

That's how he busted that big one against Linfield.  'Cats rolled the dice and rolled about 4 guys under, over, and on Rogers.  I might have been able to bust it on that one.

Ro  has really gotten good, he is not top end the fastest guy  but you would be hard pressed to find somebody quicker. I think as he gets older and stonger(breaking more tackles) he is going to be something special.

I think there was also a failure to wrap him up in the backfield, no?
Go Cats!

I dont think so Mcat, he was almost untouched when he broke it

ah, well, perhaps my memory is incorrect...I thought we had a guy hit him at the line (or in the backfield) and then he bounced off and was gone....but it was a hot day so I could have been seeing things... :)
Go Cats!
