I feel Romello Goodman will have a steady game and may be able to break one or two.  It won't be through the interior unless BenM has been watching LINFIELD's under 5'10" backs.
Why the feeling? He's good and NCC will be double covering and cheating a 3rd on Eric Rogers.
Rain won't be bothering this game.

Hmm. Interesting comments. NCC has an All American CB, an All Conference Safety, and a 2nd team All Conference CB. I dont think 3 guys will be tracking Rogers.

Goodman is similar in size to Elmhurst's Scottie Williams, ans Williams may be the best back in the country but NCC has been able to control him.  Goodman may have a few good runs but he won't turn the game.

I said he'd get off on some, not be the difference.

Quoteu are correct, he did bounce off 1 defender

I was hoping it was the heat MCat, but I remember it looked just like (alleged) Levell Copage did to us in 2009.  I thought it was the eyelids freezing shut that time.

17-0 NCC with 4:00 left in the first. This could get ugly quick...
Cal Lu Class of '93 and season ticket holder for 40 years. My parents were class of '67 and '68 and I grew up on the campus. Go Kingsmen!!!

I think it was a bit ugly when you posted this...but it sure hasn't gotten prettier.  I'm not shocked by NCC running the ball well but I"m a bit surprised by Cal Lu's poor performance on offense....
Go Cats!

NCC has a top 15 Defense Nationally. They are very good on both sides. If you can't stop the run against them it is very hard to win.

Just left the stadium. I'll post some game thoughts later. The score (41-21) was not indicative of the game. NCC was much more dominant than that.

Eyewitness report from Thousand Oaks:

North Central 41 Cal Lutheran 21

NCC thoroughly thrashed CLU. Nick Kukuc ran all over the Kingsmen for 250 yards, including a 79-yard TD run on the second play of the game. Spencer Stanek threw for 225 yards on 12-for-19, one INT, and 3 TDs, including a 54-yard bomb to Jeff Stolzenburg which put the Cardinals up 24-0 in the first quarter. In the 4th quarter, after NCC scored on a 34-yard TD pass from Stanek to Chad O'Kane to go up 41-7, Kevin Ramay came in for CLU and threw a couple of meaningless TD passes to Eric Rogers to make the score look somewhat respectable. CLU fumbled the ball 5 times and lost 3, and gave NCC *five* first downs on penalties. An all-around beat down by NCC. Linfield better be ready next week.

Even with a home game, once again the SCIAC is unable to advance a team past the first round.

Five personal fouls on Cal Lu was embarassing to the school and SCIAC and indicative of what I've seen a lot of from this coaching staff this year. You get what you accept....

CLu got it handed to them by a very good ncc team. Clu was exposed in the second half of the redlands game and the rest of the year was a struggle.(wish list for next year is a bigger d line and some mlb that can tackle).Congrats to the 4 year seniors.you have nothing to hang your heads about and had a great league run,you saw and had a lot of first for CLU and have left the younger players with legacy to build upon.Thank you to all the teams involved over the last 4 years.I as a dad came in not noing anything about d3 football  but i am leaving with a new love for this level and the quality young men i have got to watch over the years.i am a fan for life.

Pat Coleman

Glad you enjoyed it but just so you know, nobody said you had to leave. :)
