dgd,
You have two months before the season starts.  That will give you time to get some "education".
I suggest that you read all the team home pages of the SCIAC schools and any team previews that come out.  Do the same for Linfield and any other NWC school that interests you.  There is also a SCIAC web page. Linfield has an incredible tradition that they have a right to be proud of.

Do the same for Trinity before you come to San Antonio and "do" the River Walk" and Alamo.

You are just discovering the vast amount of information and variety that makes up D3 football.  One of the things you will find out is that winning teams have more fans posting.

dgd,

Here's a link to Linfield's football homepage.  http://www.linfield.edu/sports/sport.php?sport=fb

Linfield is one of the top five DIII programs in the country and I don't know anybody who would say otherwise.  50 consecutive winning seasons and four national championships is the reason why Cat fans laugh when somebody starts making claims like Redlands is going to beat Linfield.

OK,OK, I did predict that Redlands will win the SCIAC and beat Oxy and Cal Lu....but then I said...."then go beat Linfield"......that is not a prediction......thats more of a rah -rah type cheer statement...

and...it was made in response to the karma stuff......man doesnt anyone have a sense of humor? ;D ;D ;D

D O.C.

I am going to take you from -6 to -5 for your team fervor.

That and the fact it used to be drilled into my head that Redlands was our sister school...

To think  that I have subjected myself to all this grief  and my daughter just enrolled at Redlands, I dont even know what their uniforms look like, I have not seen a game, and Im sticking up for a kid I barely know....wow....I need to find a hobby. ;D

DGD,

It's time for you to take a forced sabbatical from the board. Your posts are going downhill in a hurry. Trust me, there will be plenty to talk about when the season gets under way. No need to blow a gasket just yet, especially for someone who has never even set foot in the Runner.

RFB,

Just trying to have some fun.....my gaskets are just fine.....I am gald to see that Redlands has at least one other poster.......its lonely in cyber space. ;D

Do you have any thoughts on this years team,....... strengths, weaknesses?  Any news on the incoming class?

Actually...I have been to the Runner...very nice stadium...I saw it when I went with my daughter on her admissions interview..

RFB

By the way, I just gave you a positive karma point. Your daughter is going to love Redlands. I could not have even imagined the multiple doors that have been opened for me in my ten years since graduation. The Redlands degree really does have some power. Make sure your daughter earns it.

RFB

I am completely removed from the Redlands football program and have been for a long time. It will be ten years this August since I wore the Maroon & Gray. However, Redlands has a great coach in Mike Maynard and the kids in the program will give him their all as we did ten years ago.

RFB

Oh yeah, while I am here. To the Leo fan that decided to pop off, how about you beat Redlands for once in the last ten years before you pop off. Even better, worry about beating ****tier for the SCIAC cellar

dawgs go deep

I went on the Redlands web site and found that Redlands between 1988-2005 is   10-3 vs CLU  and 11-7 against Oxy.......I would say that over the 17 year period the Dawgs have done well against the two.

Oh and I found out that Whi**er's name is the leopards.....thus leo.....man before you talk smack you gotta have something to talk about!

A very minor point but isn't Whittier's nickname the Poets? Not very fierce but possibly facetious, sarcastic, satiric, ridiculing or ironic - or on the other hand downright weak.

This is monumental.  I think this is the first time I've ever agreed with a post from RFB and you follow it up with another great zinger!

Leo I also read your SCIAC predicitons for the year and I was surprised that La Verne wasn't a run-away for the conference championship  ???  If you've got the cojones to come after Redlands and Oxy why not give your team some props and make a stand.  Does La Verne have a shot this year?

Here's to a great season, all the excitement starts in a little over a month!
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

And yes, Whittier's mascot is the Poet's.  I'm not really sure what dgd was talking about.
