Won't be as hot, as it is a night game.

Yeah, by 7:00 p.m. the daytime temperature will have gone down from 95F to 94F. Thanks for the weather update, Fritz!

Somehow I doubt the heat is going to bother a team from Texas. ::)
Yah, but it's a dry heat with smog. :P
If you've never been to Belton in summer, it's a moist oppressive heat that drops from 100+ to 97 or 98 by 9 pm. I used to ride a bike to and from work I'd leave at 5:30 in the am when it was a balmy 80-83 and would return home after dark. I'd ride past a time and temperature display flashing 97*. I don't think heat will be an issue
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

plus K for you and yes, I agree they saved the best for last. :) For the record, LR is a Math major, not a business major as they have it listed

The phone lines must be working just fine as they open at home against Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Great opportunity for UR and the SCIAC to play the best of the best. Good move scheduling the game for September 7, when the average temperature in Redlands is 95F. Maynard must have told UMHB that Redlands is near the beach.

OxyBob

If they can tell their recruits that, why not their potential opponents?  :o

All-Academic Football Team....was I the only one who counted Chapman and Occidental numbers on the team?

Pretty good day for the SCIAC.  Anyone know who the Whittier guys were?

I like Rodgers and wish him nothing but the best.

I'm surprised that Linfield is able to keep dumping L's on CLU considering all of their NFL level talent walking around campus.

Hey, hey, hey...you and I (and all of the CLU fans in the stands) know darn well that it's the ref's fault CLU keeps losing these games.

Between him and the bumbling CLU photog it wasn't a banner day for the home team supporters.  I did try to catch up with K4 after the game but the only thing I found was a puddle of tears on the sideline where he was standing the whole game.

I still don't know why they didn't target Rodgers more?   ;D

QuoteThe 2012 All-American wide receiver showcased his skills both on the field and in the weight room for representatives from nearly a dozen of the 32 NFL teams including the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers , Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins.

Atlanta, Carolina, Chicago, Dallas, Green Bay, New England, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington. I counted 11. Yep, that's nearly a dozen.

QuoteToday he was joined by three other athletes, including a pair of Poets from SCIAC foe Whittier.

I guess putting their names in the article was just way too much to ask.

The two Whittier players were WR Kimble Tillman and WR Dameron Fooks. The third player was OL Joe Unga of D-II Midwestern State University.

Thanks Bob...I saw it in the second article that was put up later.  Pretty cool for the SCIAC to have 3 guys there.

Could have found me at PJ's in a puddle of beer.
