I hope that Redlands makes the playoffs and plays Linfield.....I would like to see how good they are for myself...I think it would be fun to travel up to Oregon for a game.
If you are going to dream, make it a good one and wish for a home game. ;D

Eye of da TIGER

Ummmm they are good, and by them im referring to Linfield.  I have been there twice and come home pretty bummed both times!!!!! If you are going to wish, I agree definitely wish for a home game!!!
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. 4 is the smallest squared prime. 4 is the only number in the English language for which the number of letters in its name is equal to the number itself. 4 is also the number of titles in a row the tigers will have in '07!! Go Oxy

I know they are good, I would like to see the game.....no predictions, no calling out, just would like to see the matchup.

You should make another call to the Redlands athletic department and ask about their Linfield memories.

Since you are dreaming, you might as well hope the NCAA sends Redlands out of the west region come playoff time. ;)

CRZK,

Linfield used the "Leave No Doubt" slogan very effectively a couple of years ago after being burned in the prior year's playoff selection process.

That's true.  Maybe Jay Locey holds the rights to that like Pat Riley owns the rights to "three peat." ;D

well, I guess I will have a better picture of the Redlands team after I see them play, and after they play Oxy and Cal Lu.......being from T.O., I would love for them to beat CLU.

I think they are going to be very strong based upon what I have learned so far.  I think if their Qb recruit doesnt go to Louisville, they will be alot better off.

As to Linfield, com'on now, who doesnt dream of playing and beating the best? 8) 8) 8) ;)

rockcat

I know dgd.  Just having a little fun on here.  Oh, and I hope Redlands does put it to Cal Lu...not a big fan of those Lutheran schools I guess.  The F-U-PLU chants from college must have gotten ingrained in my head.

rockcat

Somebody in here didn't like the old anti PLU chant. :D

D O.C.

dgd...look up Whitworth and Trinity first.

No use laying out the red carpet for OXY with a 1-2 record.

El Tigre

I will agree with Da Tiger and say that Linfield is a good team.  They are solid on both sides of the ball.  However, I am wondering how they are doing with the loss of Elliot and who the back up is?  I know they will bounce back, but what does this season hold for them?  As for Dawg I don't think you should be wishing Linfield on your team especially giving the fact that the season has not even started.  I know I might get grief for saying this, but the season has not started and for all we know Whittier will run the SCIAC.  LOL ... sorry I could not even hold that in myself, but in all seriousness.  I say we leave the talk about the playoffs until we get a little insight on each of the teams as they move their way through the SCIAC.   ::)
O.C. RAH!

It looks like Tim Benzel, who has backed up 1st Team All-America QB's the last 3 years (Elliott and Matthews) is the likely starter at QB for Linfield.  There will definitely be a big transition but he will be a good one.  He would have started on most DIII programs for two or three years already.  The Cats will be just fine.  There are some talented guys who've been waiting for their shot and are finally getting it.

How much playing time has Benzel received during the last 3 years? Snaps? Minutes? Attempts? Completions? Yardage?

D O.C.

Good numbers - very few snaps. May take him a few to several games to get cranked up.
