I agree that, on average, SCIAC teams aren't nearly committed as Linfield but I've been to the "Catdome" several times and the Cal Lu athletic facilities blow them away.

Any facility that has soccer lines on the field is automatically disqualified in blowing anyone out of the water.

LOL....you got us on that one. I'll retort with the fact that I attended a game at Linfield when I was 11 (1982), returned 27 years later (2009), and the stadium/facilities appeared to be exactly the same except worn down with 27 years of wear & tear. Not to mention its not a dome (wink).

I am looking forward to returning this Saturday. You guys have a beautiful campus and I'm bringing my 17-year old daughter up for a campus tour. I can't imagine what I'd do if she attended Linfield.
Cal Lu Class of '93 and season ticket holder for 40 years. My parents were class of '67 and '68 and I grew up on the campus. Go Kingsmen!!!

OxyBob,

Please stop with all this sugar-coating and tell us what you really think about the Tigers' new coaching staff.

Crikey, if Oxy doesn't improve record from last season, my Pick-em Board is dead meat........... so to speak!
Cheers!

OxyBob,

I can't find any mention or link on Oxy's Sports website for the
broadcast crew of the past dozen years or so. Could you assist me because I like their work?

Thanks.

Another of the Cool Oxy Cats broadcast team, Tim Walsh, is Athletic Dir. and Head Basketball Coach at one of my Alma Maters in Orange County. Hey, just goes to show that Oxy students do not only become USA Prez or one of only 45 Honorees of NCAA's top Award, The Theodore Roosevelt! :)

I'm not sure, but Walsh may have been a Redlands guy.

I'm in the same boat, my niece just started at Linfield this year.  I'm hoping Cal Lu can keep it within 3 touchdowns so she doesn't give me too bad of a time.

D O.C.

You guys put your female students through a bit of compare and contrast.
Go outside the LINFIELD stadium (to a dorm?) grab up some grass, go back in the stadium, drop the grass on the field and surmise what's changed since the 80's.

BTW....the moss still grows on the north side of the stadium.

Oh! and notice the three "new" National Championship banners?

We're flying up to Portland in the morning. We're excited about the game but after last week, our expectations are pretty low. If we're actually within striking distance in the 2nd half, I'd accept it. Good luck to the Cats and GO KINGSMEN!!

You're selling CLU way short.  I think they have plenty of talent to compete with Linfield and I think it's going to be another slug fest like the previous two games.  I'll be surprised if one team rolls the other.
