Did you like being called RedLANDS?
It bothered me.  They've played three times now.  Maybe they will get it right in September.

It's not difficult to do it right.  There is a small Texas town named Italy. It's the birthplace of Dale Evens.  Everyone knows you pronounce it "It-Lee."

I 'm impressed  FOX...  old school..    And don't forget " THE KING OF THE COWBOYS"  TOO.  RR ;)

RR was my favorite cowboy when I was a kid.   Every kid had one. ;)

Yes congrats to the Dogs, I am sure the boys are frustrated. Stats were even, If you would have told me that we hold them to 300 yards and we gain 300, if would say we had a chance. No way one beats anyone with three punts blocked, one shanked punt, one int returned for 67 yards,  a pooch punt returned for six, and two field goals blocked.

what the heck? were they bad snaps or just nobody blocking anybody?

how does that happen?

Poet,

Both, one block punt the three half backs just sat back and let rusher get in deep to the punter and the other two I put on the punter for taking to long..The half back should have moved up a yard or two. He had two other bad punts, one he shanked due to how he was holding the ball and the other he almost missed the ball entirely because he was trying to keep the nose down. The two field goal misses were due to the kicker not getting the ball up, not the rush.. I think the cold weather got in their heads and it was over.

We got beat in the special teams area and did not deserve to win, they out played us on special teams, congrats to the Cru.

Gray Fox,
If you ever get to the Palm Springs area, be sure to stop by Pioneertown, north of the 10 FWY. It is home to the original
A-OK Corral. I found it by accident one day. Sure brought back memories of my childhood and RR and DE singing their songs on the fence. Thanks for your post that brought back the memories!

I spoke with the Redlands AD Sunday at the SCIAC water polo tourney. He was VERY impressed with the new facilities
at UMHB.

I like the RedLANDS  on the stream feed Saturday. Reminds me of the SOLUTES and NOLUTES. Maybe a new trens?

my youngest is a long snapper so I cringe when I see "blocked punts" or "missed kicks" being reported  hahaha

Our long snapper is nails, back up d linemen...I can not recall one bad snap. I never put a watch on him but I am surprised he did not go D1, given how quick he gets it back there. The Poets could use your son, theirs was horrible this year.

My dad was a cop and worked security at the Houston rodeo.  I saw several of the cowboys up close and have a picture somewhere of my brother and I on the laps of The Cisco Kid and Pancho!  ;D

And let's not forget the first show I saw on a TV (B&W).......The Lone Ranger, Silver, Tonto and of course...Scout.
My uncle brought us an old Capehart (?) TV. It was snowing on the show and I wondered how Tonto stayed warm.....
until my Dad said that it was the poor reception. I lived in SD at the time and there was only 1 station for the whole state.
I think I was 5 or 6 at the time.
