olddog,
Is that bulletin board material for next season that  you just gave Linfield?
Now that the SCIAC has been eliminated, I am pulling for our west coast representatives.

if you mean for all the old guys on this board..I get a kick out of that stuff...

BTW we are having a cold front, it may get down to 30 here and only up to 50...burr

Picked up off the NW board, Coach Mac tweeted the Regals will be playing Willamette instead of Linfield. Wow, what ever happen to putting CLU on a national stage, blah blah, anytime anywhere...ya ya . I get playing a team two times, win or loose and move on, but come on man...What about NCC, MHB, UWW, etc...This game gives the SCIAC no love on the national scene.

Next year UR has MHB at Belton and Linfield at Redlands...looks like SOS goes to the Dawgs again.

Something tells me love on the national scene for the SCIAC is not dependent upon CLU's regular season schedule...

Redlands 7, UMHB 35
CLU 21, NCC 41
Redlands 13, UMHB 34
CLU 27, Linfield 30
CLU 26, Linfield 42
CLU 17, Linfield 38
Oxy 33, Willamette 48
Redlands 13, St. John's 41
Oxy 23, Whitworth 27
Oxy 21, Linfield 63

M, I will clarify my point.....Coach Mac always tells recruits that he and the president want a national footprint on the D3 football scene. I guess he has backed off by virtue of their actions. Lastly if UR and CLU play a tough preseason schedule it helps their odds of a WC berth. I do not know who CLU will play other than WU, but I think it hurts their argument for a wild card berth if they were to finish second in the SCIAC with out a marque win in the pre-season. Hence when UR beat NCC and lost a close one to CLU in 2011.

Yep. I'll be there for the Linfield game too.

My pre-pre...season prediction is UR will be just as good as last year just different, much better on offense and some holes to fill on defense, with very capable and just as talented guys trying to fill those hole. Congrats to Coach Maynard for walking the walk and not running from the very top teams, unlike the team to the west.

I agree with this to a point.  I think it's good CLU took Linfield off the schedule, but not replacing them with Willamette.  If you are going to claim you will play anyone why not get a home/home with a Wisconsin school or UMHB.  Hell, play Wesley, those guys will travel anywhere.
The CLU/Linfield deal got old while CLU dominated the SCIAC.  Playing them as much as they did it was obvious CLU wasn't in the same league as Linfield.  Major props to UR for their schedule.

I enjoyed playing against CLU but welcome the change and looking forward to seeing Redlands again and playing Chapman for the first time.  Linfield has some questions to answer in 2014 but I think we'll put on a quality product to face the top of the SCIAC.  Looking forward to it.

It's a little quiet in here. Just thought I would remind everyone that Cal Who sucks. Looking forward to the Queensmen going back to their perennial 3rd place where they belong.

RFB, I hear the Redlands coaches are hitting the high schools pretty hard. Once the D2 and NAIA guys sort out, we should have an idea of how well we did. I heard last year a couple kids they thought they had signed with some NAIA schools...so lets hope winning the championship helped.

It was probably those NAIA "scholarships" ;) that lured them away from Redlands.

Chapman had a nice year last year, but they only played one decent team last year and lost at home. Going up against a top 30 team versus a top 5 team is a big jump. Chapman has a nice qb and decent team speed but they will struggle up front, big time... It will be a big eye opener for Chapman. The really good D3 teams are good up front across the board and this is something they will understand soon. Playing 220# d linemen that are converted back up linebackers, will catch up to them.

How about they try and beat Redlands first, but we all know that isn't happening anytime soon.
