It was a good year for the Dogs. I thought we had a chance to pull off what would have been maybe the biggest upset this old guy has seen.
In the end the MHB qb ran the RPO to perfection. I think the turning point in the game was when UR missed a wide open WR for a TD on the double pass towards, 28-7 make MHB throw the ball more in the second half. It was obvious UR wanted them to throw the ball vs. running their RPO.

I love the fact UR never gave up, even when down tried to rally. I thought the lineman spot on 3rd down should have been on the three inch line not on the two yard line. Horrible call and critical to the game. Maybe we should have kicked fg to make game a once score margin, but Maynard was going for broke.

In the end the Dogs represented the SCIAC very well and proved they are a top 25 team, so I can careless about the Midwest D3, I would put that team against any team in the country and they would know they were in a battle. This team played real hard.

Honestly I was hoping to get LF in the first round, we matched up better speed and size wise. I knew this team was different than the past playoff teams. If and buts were candy and nuts everyday is Xmas.

Happy Thanksgiving D3 Football.

Definitely a great showing by Redlands, Congrats on an awesome season.

Dog,

Congrats on the good 1st half showing but just because UMHB was sleepwalking against the Dawgs doesn't mean Linfield would have been.

True, but I think Redlands matched up much better with Linfield than it did with UMHB. It doesn't matter though, Redlands is out. I'm looking forward to watching Linfield and UMHB slug it out, will be a great game to watch.

RFB, I agree  on the match up, and thought we had chance to sneak up on the Kity Kats. This years team plays as hard as LF plays, I have seen the Kats many times. It is too bad because I think LF might have taken us for granted. The game with the Kats would have been close. Other than the punter dropping a ball in the end zone for a safety they played mistake free ball last Saturday.
One last comment, I think UR score on the goal line if they had not lost their starting TB against CMS. He was faster and bigger than the back ups. We could have used Ghetto last week, but injuries are part of FB.

No excuse MHB is the better than UR, LF has something to prove.

I was at the game but missed the first score.

Great game by Redlands, but you could tell in person that UMHB was just stronger and faster.
But they got sloppy and Redlands made few mistakes.  I enjoyed the UR punts of 66 and 67 yards.
That really threw UMHB in a hole.  Very proud of the SCIAC rep.  They couldn't have played better.

I think I will go again on Saturday for a Linfield revenge upset.  Maybe I will see Wildcat11 roaming the sideline.

Gray Fox I agree MHB size and speed was much better, I still think if UR could have found a way to go in at halftime 28-7 (make double pass)....UR had a much greater chance since MHB would have to throw the ball more. That dam RPO with the QB keeping it just killed us...

He will kill everybody from here on out. He's the biggest Qb threat in DIII - after Sam Riddle.
LINFIELD cannot let him beat them Saturday. Got to outscore him.

Congrats to Redlands on a hard fought and great game. I was hoping they would pull off the upset.

Would love to find a better descriptive than "kill" when talking about an individual's or team's dominance.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Understood.
Even stand up comics are told "you killed it."
People understand it does not diminish murder.

Oh now you tell me...well, what's done is done...

What made Chapman's punter and kicker so good?
Rest of the team could not keep up with them, eh?

olddog

All conference teams do not mean a lot to me, I don't want to get into positions and players, but those that watch many games know some kids got left off that had better years than others on it and were more important to team than those voted in.

So only 7 Bulldogs make all conference from a team that was 7-0, and closest teams were 5-2...., ....Basically rest of the coaches in the league are saying they got out coached by Maynard...when they had 8 and 9 players on all conference teams....Maybe a little envy going on...Never seen a first place team with so few players all conference.

UR will be good next year and challenge for league title again, few holes on depth at the d line and WR...but many key players back, including the O line is intact...Plus another good offseason with our new strength coach...He has been key. Good momentum with the program.
