Pat's latest rating for The SCIAC.

23. Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

            Kickoff ranking: 19
            Non-conference record: 6-9
            Signature win: Pomona-Pitzer 38, Rhodes 31

The Sagehens took a long trip and came away with a satisfying win. Tough scheduling against the NWC (and an ODAC team — love when teams are willing to play long distance non-con games) led to another losing non-conference record. No clear front-runner, and a couple of teams who will fight to avoid going winless.

What!? I'm so shocked Pat ranked the SCIAC so low. Someone take his temperature, this is so unlike him.

Adam Turer ranked the conferences, not Pat.

And Pat's rating was 19, while Adam dropped them to 23. :o ;D ::)

Thanks for the reading comprehension 101, guys! Yes, I (and Keith) rank the conferences in the preseason and the ATN columnist does the midseason ranking.

What!? I've heard goats have been cloned, but when did Pat volunteer to be the first human?

CMS subdues Oxy 37-0
Box score reads like a scrimmage for CMS; a few  series for the 1st team, then the 2nd team...

I actually watched a few minutes and there couldn't have been more than 20 people in the visitors stands.  This whole ordeal is going to set Oxy Football back at least five years.

Here is an email the Oxy football alumni received.

You should have warned me to have some Tum's before I read the letter. Thanks

Pending Cal Tech fielding an intercollegiate football team any time in the next decade, I'd say the table is being set for Oxy to occupy the SCIAC Football cellar for the foreseeable future.

Why would any opposing SCIAC coach not use this circus to recruit against Oxy?

Oxy had a minus two yards rushing against CMS.  I guess getting in the plus territory is the first goal of the president and AD.

The first meeting of the football sub-committee is suppose to be today.  I know that will be one of the questions asked.  My email response to his letter has yet to be replied to.  I don't expect to get a response.
