Tuxguy,

Thanks for the Benzel update. I think that guy's going to be tough this year.

Turkey Rama....What an embarrassment. We just back fron the Brew Pub, and it was relatively sane there, but I wouldn't want to speak for the rest of 3rd Street this weekend.

The UFO festival is much crazier than Turkey Rama.  There's nothing like a bunch of weird X-Files nuts dressing up like aliens and getting drunk off Terminator Stouts!

No argument there, rockcat. At least Turkey Rama doesn't claim to be anything other than what it is. A friend went downtown yesterday and said they had actual freak-show type stuff -- where you pay a dollar and go into a tent to look at some mutation deal. Nice.

Several years ago they tried to class it up by calling it a Hazelnut Festival and had a Filbert King and Queen, or something similar, and no one came, so they went back to the white trash theme.

WOW, I go boating and fishing for 4 days and get zapped...tough board.   Its ok I caught a 23 lb stripper that is presently cooking on the barbie....anybody want some?  Thick filets marinated in butter-garlic then cooked over the barbie with smoke chips..washed down with a Modelo....

I figured if you guys can talk about Turkey-Rama....I can share my cooking secrets. ;D ;D

In July almost everything is fair game.

Hey Redlandsfan........I found this in the Press Enterprise newspaper.  The website is pe.com

Given possession on the Public School 13, Wabby and his teammates needed only three plays to capitalize on the turnover. Wabby, who is headed to the University of Redlands, found Gardena Serra's Marcus Hardaway in the back of the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown pass, helping the Privates School team extend its lead to 14-3.

There is an entire article on the game.  I dont know if this rmeans he is coming or not because I talked with his dad after the game mentioned above and that is when he told me Louisville was calling him again.

I'm pretty tired of hearing about this guy, any chance we can ban both the subjects of Wabby and karma for dgd?

Dear Oxy.....I believe my post was directed to redlands fan who I have had some private conversations with.  I really have tried to be a nice guy but .....if you dont like what I have to say to someone else, just ignore it and dont respond.    :-X

If you have a sense of humor you would understand that the karma comment is A JOKE...that is...an attempt at humor.  Maybe you found it funny maybe you didnt.  I thought it was obvious that I was kidding around.   :o

Hope you boys are taking the time to read the main d3football page.  d3 has named its pre-season All-America team and sitting at the first team qb spot is our own Occidental College Tiger Andy Collins!  In fact, five players on the first team offense comes from the West.  In addition to Collins, we see Jake Lucey (G) from Linfield along with the amazing Justin Beaver (RB), Brady Ramseier (G) and Max Sakellaris (T) from UW Whitewater.

Collins is the only player from the SCIAC selected.  NWC has three players, with Ryan Marshall (CB) Whitworth making the first team defensive unit and Brandon Bennett (G) from Willamette making second team offense.

CONGRATULATIONS to the SCIAC, Andy Collins and to our friends in the NWC!

Can't wait for the season.

My karma comment was a joke as well, and as far as your private conversations -- you could probably keep them private and quit cluttering the board with your dribble.
Go TIGERS!!!

Well Oxy.......speaking of dribble what would you call your last two posts?  News breaking stories?.......Insight into the upcoming season?   or..just dribble?

As my grandma used to say...those who live in glass houses should not throw the first stone.

Cant wait for the season to start and for the BIG GAME!  Hope you can get a Saturday off!
