Can't be Maoist. Communism is far left. Nazis were far right. And if you don't want your silly ideological leanings exaggerated and mocked maybe you should lay off doing it to others? Or are you going to slap your penis hat on and March down the road instead?

Hey now, I'm on your side. Maoists and Nazis submitted to an authoritarian megalomaniac and did not tolerate dissent. So....

Hmm... my line break disappeared. Only the first three sentences were to you Smed. The rest was to our wonderful debate partner. But the fact remains that the ideological underpinnings of Communism are leftist while the underpinnings of Fascism were to the right. Proving that the farther you get from the ability to understand and empathize with each other in the middle, the crazier and more stupid you get, regardless of side.

That's. Not. Why. They. Are. Protesting.

Plus, they are kneeling because of a Green Beret:

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ex-green-beret-nate-boyer-writes-open-letter-to-trump-kaepernick-nfl-every-single-american/

I know many vets, including some who have been in combat, and they are livid. I also know plenty of police officers, and they are not blood thirsty, trigger happy knuckleheads out hunting black people. They are good people, family men with tough jobs. Kneeling against the flag is the wrong message.

So what are CLU's chances in knocking off Chapman in two weeks????

Well, yeah. I'm not one that thinks the Nazi's were left wing, especially since they were stomping on trade unionists and Bolsheviks, among others.

Politics, like time, is a flat circle.

D O.C.

Siding with Wildcat 11.  Let's take non-football to another board.
The solutes can probably throw the SCIAC Circus into a tizzy by winning that game. Black Panthers (in keeping with how this board turned political) have the edge at home at night though.

Thank you USTBench for bringing reasoned approach to the whole kneeling controversy.   There are many who will not be swayed by any rational explanation for that gets in the way of what they want to believe.  You deserve plus karma ... and now someone surely will ask why we don't go  back to our own pages where we "belong."
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Are CL(U)'s chances of beating Chapman in 2 weeks better than CL(U)'s chances of playing Oxy in 3 weeks?

OxyCollins on those Linfield teams would have been scarier than Elliot on the Oxy teams. Having played against both...Elliot gave you a lot less room for error in the secondary. If you weren't on Hazenberg or Casey's hip, you weren't gonna make a play on the ball (heck even then those two may have still taken it from you). As a defense in general OxyCollins was terrifying because he was so much more athletic. For the NWC fans, Collins is what you would get if Elliot and Joel Clark had a love child.

As for wildcat11 being a liberal, that's fine as long as you mean liberal in the classical sense and not a "progressive." If it's actually the latter then you should get checked for a brain tumor.

Going back to women playing men's professional sports...there are 14-15 year old boys that are faster than FloJo (the fastest woman ever to live). I don't care about the national anthem stuff.

I don't know..loved Collins.  He was a warrior for Oxy but there were a few games where Elliott's pin point ability and quick release saved the 'Cats and Collins mix of skills may have not (2004 UWSP). Both were titans and felt it was an honor to see them go head-to-head twice.

Still can't figure out how we held Joel Clark to his worst game in his career and still lost that 2006 game.

Our defense was better than yours...   ;D

If they can stop the run the way they did against CMS, I think they can.  If they play the same kind of D as they did against Pomona, it's going to look just like the Redlands/Chapman game.

seriously though, I think we led the nation in turnover margin that year (or real close to it) and had 2-3 INTs and 2-3 fumble recoveries that game. Turnover margin was +5 or 6 in favor of Whitworth. Joel Clark didn't really need to do anything...
