Chapman defeats CLU in a game with zero defense, 48-36.  Bautista looked really good tonight, will be interested to see who their matchup is in playoffs assuming the get past the Stags next week.

As for CLU both of their 2 losses this year have been heartbreakers. Coach Mac can't be happy getting oh so close to being back atop the SCIAC. Kingsmen graduate a lot something tells me next year will be a tough one.

Chapman won the SCIAC tonight with the win. They better hope they get sent to Linfield, because it will be a painful death if they get sent to Belton.

Agreed, if Chapman had a better defense I'd say they have a solid chance vs Linfield. But that Wildcat defense is just too good I don't see it happening but who knows?

If Linfield had a better offense then I would say that the 'Cats could beat Chapman by 40 but we don't.
yep---it could be a really tough rematch.....but it wont be because Chapman will be sent to Belton and the Cats will matchup with HSU again (maybe in Oregon this time).
Go Cats!

Not so fast MC....lets send Chapman to McMinnville and let HSU go to UMHB then they can send HSU to McMinville for second round against Cats 😈

You are going with your heart and I'm all for it but one of the guidlines when constructing the bracket is to avoid first round rematches (yes I"m well aware that they happen all the time especially for Island teams) but I find it hard to believe they would a) do 2 first round rematches and b) give the #1 overall seed (MHB) such a hard first round matchup.  The only thing preventing them from sending Chapman to Texas and matchingup Cats with HSU would be money and they didn't have a problem with it it last year.....
Go Cats!

If Linfield can get past Chapman is the question. I'm not so sure it's a given by any means.

With the way the offense has been playing, I get it.

The question is will Chapman play MHB tougher than Linfield. Right Doc ?

I'm a big believer in "matchups" giving inferior or superior teams better or worse chances at beating a certain opponent. Because of this, id say that while I also believe Chapman could give Linfield a run for their money right now (I've been a huge skeptic of the Cats QB play and offense in general all yea), that they would fare significantly worse than Linfield against UMHB. I don't think either team is scoring against UMHB but Linfield's defense would keep it closer. I don't think Chapman's could keep them in the game.

And the humilation continues...

From The Occidental Weekly:

Title IX complaint filed on behalf of football team, alleging anti-male bias in athletics department

http://www.theoccidentalweekly.com/news/2017/10/17/title-ix-complaint-filed-behalf-football-team-alleging-anti-male-bias-athletics-department/2889541

"The complaint implicates President Jonathan Veitch and the Occidental Board of Trustees for their support of Hoffman."

Don't forget what Veitch said:

"Let me be clear: Jaime Hoffman has my full support. I believe she has the skills, vision and commitment needed to move us forward."

Stay tuned.

EDIT: Veitch's office is responsible for conducting investigations regarding complaints against the Title IX Office and the Title IX Coordinator, so you can predict with great accuracy where this investigation is going.

Football team players write Letter to Editor regarding Title IX complaint:
