And the humilation continues...

From The Occidental Weekly:

Title IX complaint filed on behalf of football team, alleging anti-male bias in athletics department

http://www.theoccidentalweekly.com/news/2017/10/17/title-ix-complaint-filed-behalf-football-team-alleging-anti-male-bias-athletics-department/2889541

"The complaint implicates President Jonathan Veitch and the Occidental Board of Trustees for their support of Hoffman."

Don't forget what Veitch said:

"Let me be clear: Jaime Hoffman has my full support. I believe she has the skills, vision and commitment needed to move us forward."

Stay tuned.

EDIT: Veitch's office is responsible for conducting investigations regarding complaints against the Title IX Office and the Title IX Coordinator, so you can predict with great accuracy where this investigation is going.

Would LOVE Chapman to travel to Belton.... Lets be honest in my assessment, a first game vs. Chapman would be good for us. A game one would not be as good if it is HSU or Linfield. Who knows we may draw Berry (but highly doubtful) but We have faced HSU and Linfield, let's have chappie travel to the Cruthedral. The Bulldogs did it. (Hear this NCAA????? hmmmm?)

I am really curious about the fact that the President and CDO were at this meeting and these are the claims made by the AD.  Is the President willing to continue his support if he did not hear/witness any of the claims?

(I'm ignoring you like the MIAC and the OAC do to me.)
  :P

Mr. Ypsi

Has the conference office decided what to do with Oxy results for the standings?

And speculation on whether Oxy will show up for next season?   And whether anyone would be willing to schedule them?  And whether they will get any recruits that can walk and chew gum at the same time?

What a clusterf**k!

Is the President willing to state that he DID hear such remarks and put himself in direct dispute of the players?

This could prove to be a eutectic points in the conversation...just think of it, in the age of Cell Phone Recordings, IF said derogatory remarks were not actually hurled as claimed, providing possible evidence in dispute of the claim, AND the President backs the claim - before hearing of the recorded evidence...Would it not be juicy to see how they spin their way out of it?

I would think he'd better measure his response very carefully, because you don't know who might have captured what in the conversations.

Exactly what I was trying to say but I just re-read it and it obviously didn't come out right.  Is the President willing to put his career on the line for something that was "supposedly" said?  He better have absolute 100% fool proof evidence that it did indeed happen or the whole situation could get really ugly.

Gray Fox

This is from the letter.

"First, no alumnus attended the meeting, only the players, coaches, Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), Dean of Students and the Athletic Director. Second, no expletive was yelled at the Athletic Director. When the cancellation was announced, the team got emotional and common expletives of frustration and despair were yelled, but none that could be characterized as attacking anyone in particular within the room."

The president was not there.

Awww crap, I read it much earlier in the day and thought I remembered reading he was.  Thanks for clearing that up.

The conference is not recognizing the Oxy games. Redlands win in conference against Oxy went away on their website, vapor...

Did LF and Chapman have a year left in their contract ? if so, they could play a double header ?
