leo...he was 205 as a jr.  he was 235 as a sr.  he needs to lose a few in my opinion.

That's bad news if you're talking about a high school QB that needs to lose some weight.  Can you say Defensive End?

Just kidding. ;D  I'm sure you're going to tell us that he's the next Daunte Culpepper or something...

El Tigre

I will have to agree with Saber about Oxy being able to talk all they want right now.  I know Redlands fans have been biting their tongues knowing that Oxy is on top right now.  They know all about being on top of the SCIAC having won three out of the last six conference championships.  Let us have our time to gloat because as Saber said we have no idea what this season will hold.
As for Oxy's Andy Collins getting 1st team pre-season All-American: CONGRATS!  I know Andy very well having block for his shifty arse for the last two years.  I know that no matter what his o-line looks like (the O-line will be great) he will make it work and command the offense to the third straight conference championship.

DGD,
If your daughter decides to switch to Oxy I am sure that Oswald, Eye of da Tiger, and I could put in a good word for her.  It is a hard school to get into.  Also be ready to pay 43,000 a year.  What is Redlands per year cost?

Thanks for the help fellas but she was accepted at Oxy but felt it was too close to home.  I good friend of mine is on the Board of directors at Oxy, his name I wont mention.  So you Oxy guys better be nice!

Redlands is about 40K with everything.

I refuse to comment on you know who anymore! ;D ;)

Redlands Fans - I read the season preview for the Bulldogs.  I have to say it got hard to follow.  The preview never indicated how many starters are actually back for Redlands, or lettermen for that matter.  According to the preview, everyone on the team is really, really good.  Can any of you fill in the blanks in anticipation of the opener with Whitworth?  How many starters are back?  What kind of real-game experiences do the returning running backs have?

Will school be in session when the teams meet on the 9th?  Do the Bulldogs get a good crowd on Friday nights, or are the students out enjoying other extra curricular activities?

Are there schools in the SCIAC that aren't in session when the football season starts?  School is always going by the time the Tigers play there first regular season game.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

Didn't you know that everybody at Redlands is really good.  I think I read somewhere they only recruit guys who get phone calls from Louisville.  That's why they've won so many playoff games. :D

Redlands has 16 starters coming back. It says in the preview you read that 8 are back on defense and I count 8 more for offense from reading the preview. School will be in session and the game is on Saturday night, not Friday. Redlands will most likely have a new face starting at running back.

Congrats to Andy Collins in being named 1st team All-American. That is a very big accomplishment and huge recognition for the SCIAC. I cant wait for October 7th.

Today I talked to a Crespi grad who is playing WR at Redlands and he paid the highest of compliments to Collins.  He said that he is just a beast when he runs the ball and very hard to bring down.  He also said that he is an outstanding passer.  Congrats to Collins on such a great accomplishment.

That's funny.  But keep in mind how quiet the SCIAC board was before we started hearing about conversations with the dad of a 235 QB recruit to talk about.

DGD,

Have you talked to your daughter about dating the Crespi kid?  It sounds like you're friends with his dad.  Maybe you can go back a few centuries and prearrange a wedding.  It sounds like you'd really like those genes in your family so you can talk about 235 grandkids.  Maybe one of them would go to Louisville. ;)

Just kidding.  You haven't said anything about your boy in a day or two so I had to take a jab.  I couldn't stand by and let it die...what else are we going to talk about for the next month?  They don't sell Hamm's at the Ralph's by my house so I can't join the MIAC board. :D

Now your hitting way below the belt. They are JUST FRIENDS, really.  Like I said before, she was a cheerleader for his team.  Man, Im never gonna live this down.  If this kid doesnt perform, I may have to smack him upside the head!

Isnt Hamm's that beer witht the bear on the can?  I thought that brewery went out of business long ago.  Try some Rolling Rock!  Now thats beer at its finest.  As Robert Dinero siad," the best f..in beer in the world".  A quote from the deerhunter.

The Cardinals, may go undefeated this year.....they will have a hell of a team if Brohm can make it back to 100%, I will be happy if they beat Pitt and those Hillbillies from WVA.  Man I hate that school.
