Redlands 2018 schedule is out. Most surprising is the move to a 10 game schedule, including three non-conference games against the NWC. I'm very excited to see this happen, and will be a difficult schedule no doubt about it. Go Dawgs!

Should start the year at 2-0 before the Dawgs head to Linfield.
Caller ID must not have been working that day.

Give CMS credit, they've been willing to travel for these games. W&L and CMU are thinking outside the box. That being said, whoever wrote the press release probably needs to check the last paragraph. I think they got stuck in a time warp.

Ah. That makes more sense then! The writer doesn't need to proofread, the reader needs to pay more attention!

Some nice offseason stuff going on at UR....message board material

1) I see Maynard finally won the battle for the 10th game. The AD used to say we struggle to schedule now, a 10th game would be more difficult. The school is willing to pay for a second road game every season, another shocker. I think given the practice restrictions in place (two a days) playing a third preseason game is an advantage over those that play two games. Interesting UR will be playing PSU, old UR coach and player.

2) UR hired a RB coach as the last GA leaves the program. No more GAs at UR...don't know why ?

3) Offseason awards....mean nothing, but kids love the press and gives coaches something to talk about in regards to recruiting

olddog...when you jump at the opportunity to go to the game in McMinnville next fall, I can steer you towards the Spruce Goose.

Last time I went there and checked it out, and had some local wine...pretty cool.... thanks....I don't think I am going back to see UR get beat by 21 or 35....An upset over LF would be a once in a lifetime deal.

More thoughts on a 10 game schedule for UR

1) if other SCIAC schools do not go to 10 games, I think it is a slight recruiting advantage for UR, I could just hear Maynard selling it.
2) The third game needs to be against a non NW conference schedule. The NWC and SCIAC need to play teams in other conferences in order to not dilute the SOS, beating up each other just drops the SOS.

I know UR has expansion plans for their athletic facilities, wonder if this plan will be rolled out soon. The plan includes,  Meeting rooms, more lockers, larger coaches offices, and larger general weight room.

I hope all the schools in the SCIAC adopt a 10 game FULL schedule.  I think it's too bad that a 4 year SCIAC player (at present) misses out on nearly half a season worth of games over their college football playing career compared to a 10 game per season schedule.

I hear they are saving money since Redlands doesn't need expend their NCAA trophy case.

Oxy has new helmets for its non-existent team.
