Let's keep hypothesizing...how would Redlands do against Mater Dei, olddog?

Mater Dei would be a top ten DIII team immediately, possibly top five. Size, speed, and depth across the board with mostly DI scholarship talent.

RFB, I have seen MD the past few years a dozen times in person, I agree with you on talent. I would take UR over MD in a game....Those kids are still kids, I will be down on the field again this year with MD, Their staff is old like me... I know the program very well. I know the their personal very well. They have 23 kids from freshman to seniors with D1 offers. They had 9 junior or senior transfers with D1 offers come in this past winter. I know the team...Will they be much better players than UR's yes, but they are still kids. Those 16 and 17 year olds are not there yet across the board. A game with UR and LF upfront is much more physical...I have been on the field for both. It would be close but my money is on UR, LF etc

Time to hand in your medical marijuana card.

I will when you give it back to me now that its legal...I just saw the MD kids a couple days ago, going to see them a few more times before their first game, I have been at all their MITT camps...

tomorrow, I will see a couple college scouts that know Trinity very well, one played pro for 15 years. I will get their take. I will be honest RFB on what they say.

Cool. Trinity league is no joke - bunch of heavies slugging it out.

'Kickoff 2018' has delivered a lucid in-depth analysis of each SCIAC team, yet again!
Highlights are the prediction that the SCIAC champion won't go undefeated in conference games and the ranking of SCIAC at #22 out of 27 conferences.

Team rankings are as follows:

Redlands 61
Cal Lutheran 78
Pomona Pitzer 113
Chapman 119
CMC 128
La Verne 157
Whittier 217
Oxy 238

Tipping my hat to Pat and his team! Purchasing 'Kickoff' is such a cool way to say "muchas gracias" for D3football.com providing us this SCIAC Board with so many interesting commentators whose viewpoints I'd never get to hear otherwise. 😎

Took a stroll over to MD last night to watch them scrimmage. One Gentlemen played pro bowl and still works with kids in the area, the other has played D1 and used coached high school and another who is a coach, played D2 ball...Their reaction is similar to mine, MD would be able to move the ball but playing against men when your 16, they are not ready for 80 downs. The better D3 teams play quicke and players make far less errors (far more experience), plus every tackle is just more physical than high school. Skills would not hold up as well.
I do think MD would beat the bottom half of the SCIAC any season. After watching with this intent of this topic, MHB would win 10/10 versus MD.

Mater Dei (2017) would win the SCIAC without breaking a sweat.

Welcome. Redlands will win because they are the good guys. Everyone else is evil, especially those chumps out in Thousand Oaks. Chapman are wannabes, which is no surprise as they reside in the fake capital of the world (Orange County). La Verne is the only four year junior college in SoCal who happens to field a football team, but they are the unwanted step child of the conference. CMS & Pomona stick to their overinflated sense of academic entitlement, but we let them participate so they can have a trophy too. A woman (go feminism) destroyed Oxy is less than 10 years, and they will field a junior varsity team this season. And ****tier is well... I've got nothing here to add.

LoL, great breakdown Redlands as I've followed this board from another conference prior to the move. Seems like Redlands & CalLu are preseason favorites. received all my info from this board on Oxy which killed the conference rating this year; however with a few of the teams traveling out of west coast to play power conferences should help. I'm looking forward to my son's experience in this conference and the great chatter on this board.

I don't know this board seems to have a chemistry different from other conference, and dedicated to this conference which is impressive for an outsider/father/coach:) And thank you
