I remember when it did 40 years ago.
Burning rabbits running on Broad Beach.
Horses let loose took to the surf.
Neil Young's house burnt down while he was playing the Rust Never Sleeps tour at the Forum.

CMS did not look good Saturday. This is the first time in a long time I can remember the SCIAC not catching a top 8 team in the first round. Too bad we are down this year. I know the feeling around UR Saturday was we really blew it and laid an egg against CMS...Hey they deserved to win, can't have a bad game in league.

Looks like UR will play GF, PS, and Linfield next year, with PS and LF at the Runner. UR has not done well at GF..

Go Stags

Playing Whitworth in the Pine Bowl will be a huge challenge for Claremont. Safe travels and good luck to the Stags. Bring back a win for the SCIAC!

So lets look ahead and see if we can prognosticate a pod...Can CMS defeat Whitworth? and if so can they defeat (I think) St. Johns? Thoughts

Having just watched St. Johns in person this past weekend, I'm going to say they only teams that can beat them are:  Whitewater, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Mount Union.  And they'll be a huge challenge for those three defenses, as well.

Johnnie QB Erdmann is pretty special and has a great corps of WR's/TE's he is on the same page with.

Dropping the last game of the year less than impressive for guys going Stag.

Not a chance.  Claremont lost to both UPS and PLU and Whitworth dropped the hammer on those of those NWC foes.  I think Whitworth is going to lay the wood the CMS.

Yep their visit to Pine Bowl will be same result as when their BB team visits the Fieldhouse.

New poster here - Good luck to the Stags as conf reps.  Want to give credit to PP tho for their win, and for Coach Walsh's job in bringing the program along.  While there were 4-5 teams in SCIAC that could beat the others on a given day it seems like PP developed the most over the year based on wins over Chapman and CMS at the end of the season.  Based on 17 returning starters from the CMS game I would think they would be a preseason favorites for 2019.  Anyone know how many starters other schools have returning?

Gray Fox

sharp,
By definition, Oxy will have most of their starters back.

I've studied some film and I think CMS will pull off an upset in the first round. They seem to pull it out of their hat and have dominant lines on both sides.  ;D

Watching Jerry Lewis in Cinderfella on late night TMC Classics does not count as studying film.

Now that's funny. How do you do it Oz? You are the master of the zingers. But in Bluenote's defense, or defence if you prefer, he has to watch what the home dictates. I know his support group has a big say. I hope your comment, funny as it was, doesn't cause him to slip back. We can only hope. 😃
