Looks like Garces Memorial HS in Bakersfield is a better job than Occidental.  Sad times in Tigerville.

Bringing in a kid with 1 whole year of coaching experience (maybe not even 1 season) to be the OC?  Looks like Oxy is ready to light up the scoreboard this year....

Very notable year for UR Football. Mike Maynard HC at UR will seek his 200th win this year, right now sitting at 197. Coach has a .690 O/A winning percentage and .800 in conference. He has 13 league championship in his 25 years. Remember UR has only gone to a 10 game schedule recently.
Beyond his wins and loses, he has graduated every football player that stayed in his program for four years. Some of this fellas took longer than four years but he never stopped helping them. If ever society needed Mike Maynard it is in today's world. Best move ever sending my kids thru UR. Great Man beyond football.

Well said. One of the best football coaches (all divisions) nationally, and an even better person off the field. He deserves every accolade coming his way.

Good numbers for both programs. Stability should be their first goal. Winning will come with time.

I counted the Oxy roster.

  10 seniors
    8 juniors
  23 sophs

  The most interesting fact is that only 26 are from California.  I'm sure the admissions office likes that.

Redlands, scrimmage....pretty boring. I like our QB, he can run and make plays...it will pressure a D front, I think Pat and Company missed him as a sleeper. I am sure Maynard did not talk him up. UR..GF game will be a tough game. Pretty Green, O line look best as a group. I have UR as 7 point dogs.
