I have no insight, but my old gut does not have a good feeling about this one. The thousands of supporters are so pissed that even if he is suspended for a game versus being fired the donation damage is done, I know I have zipped up my pocket book, Zero funds going toward the new facility. I know those on the fund raising committee have some decisions to make. Maynard on the side raises six figure donations that help fuel the football program, UR can kiss that good bye. I keep saying it, lets see how well the donations go twenty years from now. Cal might have been one of first UC to make this change, and donations are dwindling. Its a very interesting topic, but I will lay low on that one.
Less than two more years of Gavin.

Right there with you. Don't have a good feeling about it at all. I hope we are both wrong and cooler heads will prevail. Here is a good opinion article from a reporter that has covered local sports.

University punted on a decision today.  My guess is they are stalling trying to negotiate a "retirement."

What a clown show. Hold strong Coach Maynard.

Three person panel gave their findings to the President last week, President supposed to review and give his recommendation to Regents later in the week. Exact outcome timeline I do not know.
No one has heard the panel's findings that I have spoken too.

I do know they wont find any checks in the mail from myself. A lot on the line. Trust has been lost by the liberal leaders.

Better make a decision soon with the 2020 season around the corner (hopefully). The program will be a rudderless ship without Coach Maynard at the helm.

Claremont pulls the plug on "high risk" sports for the fall. This is the beginning of the end for the SCIAC season.

It's increasingly difficult to see how the LA County schools are going to be able to play football (or even have student residents, tbh).  Without the LA County schools, the SCIAC doesn't have enough teams left to go forward with a season per the conference's earlier release.

So yeah, it's looking pretty grim.   :(

Let's see how many teams want to play. Azusa Pacific and University of San Diego are options to fill out the schedule if they lose games as well.

Asuza is going to have the same LA County problem that the rest do, unfortunately.  Maybe we can have a Chapman-Redlands best of 7.  Which is not the worst or least entertaining idea.
