I don't know who is writing for Lindy's this year, but the person they've used in the past is based in Western Pennsylvania, so I could see some geographic bias there.

Pre-season rankings out on D3.com  Two SCIAC teams get some love with some votes, Redlands and CMS.  The run game of CMS should be hard to stop again, and Redlands looks to return to the play-offs.  Chapman down this season without the likes of All-American LB Keefe.  We will see what happens when the whistle blows on the field.

Hey all, I'm probably gonna start up another fan poll again this year. As always, shoot me a message if you're in interested in participating. In years past we've always focused on "West" teams. However, with new regional realignment I think we'll just focus on Region 6 teams for the fan poll. Let me know if you want in.

Much appreciated!

D O.C.

I suppose it's good luck to the solutes today. Rep the West!

Two games, two heart breakers.  CLU has lost 2 games in a row by one point each.  Last week, down 21-3 against Southwestern U. in Texas, CLU rallied to take a three point lead despite playing against Southwestern U., terrible weather and the referees.  The zebras gave Southwestern a second on the clock--no way they should have had it--and to their credit, they converted the field goal to go to OT.  In OT, they scored a 2 pt conversion to beat CLU by 1 point.  This weekend, CLU played a great game against Chapman (they never have competed with them averaging 30 plus point losses during my son's three past years), and went for a 2 pt conversion and the win with 27 seconds left in a back and forth close game.  The receiver went for a one handed catch (why?) in the corner of the end zone and dropped it--CLU lost by 1 pt again.  I am proud of my son and hid team.  They played great and the QB Nick played lights out!  CLU was missing the starting center and RG (both returning starters), and still did well.   They should be 2-0, but that is football.  Three games forthcoming, that should be wins before Redlands game!

I think going back to olddog's earlier posts, he saw the writing on the wall for the dawgs this year and decided to finally take a gap year.  Never thought he'd be a fair weather fan but I guess you never can tell.

RFB is no longer a member.
olddog's last post was in June.  He was waiting to see how the new president would do.

BTW:  OxyBob has not posted since April.
