The Redmen 3-0 they beat Whittier 31-2

9 straight non-conference wins

Carthage defense with 4 Int's 1 was returned for a TD

Carthage defense held Whittier to a 1 for 13 on 3rd downs

Total Yards:
Carthage-323
Whittier-148

Ouch. Obviously Whittier is not a top tier SCIAC team, but Carthage is also a lower tier team in our league this season, and was predicted to finish 6th of 8 in the CCIW.

Not a great day for the Poets after a long trip.  I think that they're adjusting to a new head coach this year as well.  There's always pain in change . . . and it sounds like some of that paid was dealt today.

Any score updates from SCIAC games?   I tried to get on some broadcasts but my computer is only loving Quicktime today and won't let me listen to any of the Microsoft Mediaplayer broadcasts....

Redlands starts at 5:30 pm...you can listen on am 590 ktie

SnowLeopard

La Verne Fell 37-16 to Whitworth.

The Leos defense is still struglling, they gave up wayyyy to many big plays.

The offense  turned the ball over like three times in the red zone, and still had trouble running the ball. (361 in the air, only 45 on the ground)

...For those of you who didn't know, The leopards lost both of their rb's to injuries in camp (one for the season - ACL, and the other with a dislocated elbow- he'll be ready for Cal Lu. They're playing with 2 fb's in the backfield for now... and are still platooning the quarterbacks, both of them threw for a td.
Hail to the Orange, Hail to the Green,
Hail to the Leos, FIGHT ULV!!!

What a blow for whitter. I thought that they would be able to show up and give a fight. seems like they just folded and couldn't come back.

Sorry to hear about the R.Bs for the Leos. Thats crazy that they now must rely on fb's. IMHO, Most of the times, FBs aren't that fast. However, THis should get both Q.bs at La Verne ready for a pass happy offense.

Oxy over CC by a lot. I wish i could go to the game. But i won't be that far from the Rock. Anyone, Keep the score updates, please

Cal Lu used a big 2nd half to come from behind and beat Willamette 26-16.  It was an ok game, nothing special from either team.  Cal Lu looked lost in the first half but dominated the 2nd half.  I am willing to bet they only gave up about 50 yards in the 2nd half.  Nice to have a bye week and clean some things up befor they play La Verne.

In defense of both Redlands QBs, you can't screw around switching them back and forth. Neither of them can get any kind of rhythm or confidence. With all the penalties,
it seems they are trying to force plays.
