I too have been to both (just in passing, but at least "through" both) . . . and GHC speaks the truth, I'll take anywhere on the Oregon coast over Spokane . . . now if we were talking Walla Walla, it might be different, but Whitman gave up football a while back.

As for the McMinnville putdowns, having been there the last two years for two Oxy thrashings, I thoroughly enjoyed all but about three hours of each trip.

Cromwell is a big name in Southern California sports.
