The difference between SCIAC schools and the rest of the country is JUNIOR COLLEGES.  If you have ever played SCIAC football then you would realize this argument.  Kids from the JC do not stick around during camp, there are always a few exceptions.  Why would a kid that thought he still had a legitimate shot at a schollie pay 30 large to play D3 football?

Tell me why So Cal JC transfers are so different than ones elsewhere.

Pat,

What I think he was trying to say is that there is no other JC landscape like California. There are over 40+ Junior Colleges that field football programs across the state. I might be wrong, but I doubt is it like that anywhere else in the country. Not sure what he meant about JC transfers not lasting in camp. When I played at Redlands we had many JC transfers and the majority of them were very talented.

California is also gigantic, right? Doesn't it have more of everything?

Very true. California is very big and has many options for just about anything.

Weekend predictions for the SCIAC

Oxy over the poets------ "The shoes stay" at THe Rock. The poets are overmatched by both the 1st unit offense and defense. The underclassmen come will glow bright in the 3rd quarter after getting their feet wet all year long and prove to others that they will be ready for next years regular season. Not only that, Its the week of the Shoes, The freshmen really understand the whole meaning behind this game.

Cal Lu over Redlands by two T.D's---- Jones starts his campaign for Offensive Player of the Year for 07. He shows up with his teammates with a better game plan and no hangover.

La Vern Over Chapman----- Dolittle and Martinez try to teach us that Two q.bs systems can work...hmmmm, never mind

THe stags or the hens----- THe pipe stays with the stags. Unfortunatly, they must clean out the bong water out of it before they show up to the game or else they might get dazzed and confused. Just like when the play UPS and La Verne.

Good luck to all. Have fun and enjoy the games. :)

Quick correction.  Hens have the pipe, and with the Hens it will stay for the third year in a row.  ;D

Sorry Browneagle...........the Bulldogs are going to come out strong to make up for the poor game they played last week.  They are going to surprise CLU with an anti -TO offense, and strong defense and pull out the victory.  GO BULDOGS.......finish strong.......dawg gone it. :)

Sabretooth Tiger

DGI, I feel for you and all of your Bulldog nation mates . . . but I have to go w/ Cal Lu  . . . I predict that they will simply be overwhelming and driven.  I think you'll be impressed by Jones.  Let me know . . . good luck fellas.

Go Oxy, keep da Shoes!!  Pound da Poets!

let's be safe out there,  ;)

DGI, I hope that you learned a lot about the SCIAC during the regular season. In addition, I hope that you now understand the level of Play at the d3 level. I assure you that with this new insight you will understand the teams better for next year.

Btw---- I hope that you are right about redlands doing there best to beat a good Cal Lu team. Since both schools are playing their last games today, i only hope that Redlands has a plan on offense to keep up with a dangerous Kingsmen D. One that will apply pressure from the d-line position. Anyways, Cal Lu wins with Jones at the helm.

Looks like Bethel is going to upset the Johnnies and the 'Rats are in a fight with the loggers.  Let's pull for some upsets boys just to make tomorrow's playoff seedings interesting.
