Welcome LeoT.E.

What more insight can you provide us on the Rat's Defense of units (i.e. D-line, L.B's , C.B, S.S etc.) I heard a lot about the O already but not much on the defense of side.

After beating the Bulldogs and giving Oxy a scare....I will never make fun of the nickname Poets......until next year!

Browneagle64

Wow, I am glad that The Newbie did learn something about SCIAC football.

The poets will always give team fits if they overlook them. This has been going on with the Poets since 2000.

Well, your exciteable/comatose announcers will be at the game up in Spokane this coming Saturday.  The broadcast will be at noon and you can get it at www.oxybroadcast.com.  Please tune in.

Next time, we'll try to be less "exciteable" when the team we broadcast for -- with a 25-game regular-season winning streak on the line in the last game for its ring-of-honor QB -- is in the midst of completing a fourth quarter comeback from 16 down against a two-win team.  My apologies, Monrovia Cat.

If you need to give the Fighting Poets a reality check...just send them up to McMinnville and the Cat's can treat them like the little redheaded SCIAC stepchildren that they are like in 2000 and 2001.

Browneagle...to answer your question from the NWC board...yes allen is the big TE.  He's good but it baffled me how they used him against Linfield.  They lined him up in the slot or all the way outside like a WR.  He wasn't fast enough to get open on our DB's but they still tried to just throw it up to him.  Seems to me he'd be more effective inside abusing some slow LB.  Clark locks onto him also.  Doesn't even try to look off the secondary, just strares him down and chucks and ducks!

As always, THanks for your Strong work in boardcasting Tiger football, Tsports and Co... Also don't forget to send a shout out for those that can't make it to washington because of having to work.

You and your team do any outstanding job. Please put on a clinic so that pomona's team announcer can learn from you guys and other announcers. Help them get life when they are doing their work.

tigersports.......I have heard your broadcast...its ok to get excited, but when you do, dont start spewing legal ease! ;)  Just kidding you do a great job.  The guy from Pomona.....wow, what a piece of work...I think they call guys like that....Homer.

browneagle, newbie?? Hardly.   ::)  and tell your boss you need Friday off and just go......or are you a ......newbie at work? ;) :D   You will regret it if you dont go.

I too, dont think I'll be able to make it up to Spokane for the game.  Man, I wish I was still in college so I could just happen to be "sick" on friday and a road trip would not be out of question. Looking at games vs common opponents, this game figures to be a good one. Oxy has a group of seniors that are in this position for the 3rd consecutive year, the playoff experience is definitely on their side. Looking at the past two years in the playoffs, Collins has saved his best performances for this time! Oxy will be ready and barring a snow storm or a torrential down pour, the weather should not be a factor.  Maybe some nice alum will bring a snow machine out to Oxy's field this week just to make sure they are ready for anything. Anyhow, Im pulling for an Oxy win, and a St. Johns win, so round 2 will be here in sunny So Cal., where its 80 degrees in mid November.  ;D

Big shout out to Lady Tiger!! :D
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. 4 is the smallest squared prime. 4 is the only number in the English language for which the number of letters in its name is equal to the number itself. 4 is also the number of titles in a row the tigers will have in '07!! Go Oxy

I'm sure we'll at least be in the mid 30's with minimal snow in the midwest... ;D

Oh boy, here we go again.  Sorry if you took my comments as direspectful or critical.  My comment (I won't comment for the other NWC posters) was purely descriptive as every play sounded like a big play (and in the 4th quarter at least, every play was).  It got my heart racing (which I think I commented on) and brought the excitement of the game into my house.  To contrast, I've listened to the Linfield broadcast for several years and have noted a more subdued style (but they do get excited on big plays, turnovers, etc.) and also listened to the Lewis and Clark Broadcast last week which was more amateur and hard to listent to.  At any rate, I learned that if I'm going to listen to the Oxy Broadcast I just need to turn down the vollume (your production quality is excellent---very little static, and clear, crisp announcers voice comeing through the speakers) and learn a new style.

Keep up the good work.   ;)

BVhawk,

Wish you could join us in So. Cal, because the weather here is just awesome.
Like Eye and others have mentioned, this is the weather that everyone wishes they could be in 8)

A little snow adds a nice touch for Christmas, but yeah, after a couple feet of it and continuously having to remove it from sidewalks & driveways, I'd take the 70-80 degrees!

Not whimping out Bob---I really was not trying to be critical.  I was commenting on Tigersports style which was much different that we were used to.  As far as your comments about the Cats announcers and fans---wrong---we'll be listening to the game and supporting the NWC by listening to them play the Tigers.  I take it sitting at home eating a ring bologna and drinking Pabst (or maybe in your case it was the Ralphs plain-wrap "Beer") is what you've done the last few years after Linfield has stomped the Tigers into the ground.  I'd go on to say that the Cats could take Oxy this year too but we'll never know because we blew our shot.  Good Luck to both teams and, Bob, after next week we (Cat Fans) will root for whomever moves on.  You could try that too if your Tigers don't prevail.
