That would be awesome for Oxy to play Whitewater.  Oh wait, Collins graduated, unless Rhet Bomar has transferred in the Tigers will be hard pressed to be the golden team again, for a while.  Other than that, Redlands will be back.

DH....almost the entire defense will be back next year and the replacements look strong.  Arnt will be a monster the next two years.  Lets hope the new OC can bring it all together on offense and if so, I would think the Dawgs should win the SCIAC.  Just my opinion.

Have you heard anything about hiring of an OC?

Oxy has an open date posted for September 22, 2007.

So do PLU and UW-Whitewater. ;D Hint, hint!  ;)

Hello folks, good to be back after some serious holiday vacationing . . .

At any rate, while I would personally love to see PLU get added to help start a new NWC/Oxy tradition, that open date corresponds to Oxy's bye week this year (9/23) and I don't think SCIAC rules permit more than 9 regular season games.

Not sure, but I still think that there could be a different and new NWC opponent on the horizen . . . film at 11.

And GF . . . where exactly is the open date "posted?" I didn't see anything on Oxy's website.

Hope you all had great holidays . . . and remember, only 241 days left until the 2007 season kicks off!!

Sorry but there is no way Oxy is going to play Whitewater. A PLU or a Willamette are possible but look for them to stay in California and schedule either Azusa or Menlo.

Yes, Collins has graduated, but I can't seem to remember the last time Redlands beat Oxy. Has it been that long? I think the Tigers have the pups on a leash.

Is there still an opening for the OC job? I would love to apply.

There is an "Open Dates" category on the left side of the d3football home page.  It has a complete listing.  I stopped my "research" once I found this page.

I'm just trying to get some off season rap going. :)

From the SCAC Board:

Trinity's 2007 schedule is taking shape... times TBA

Sep. 01  @ETBU
Sep. 08  TLU
Sep. 15  open
Sep. 22  Colorado College
Sep. 29  Birmingham Southern
Oct. 06   @Rhodes
Oct. 13   @ DePauw
Oct. 20   UoS Sewanee
Oct. 27   @Millsaps
Nov. 03   Centre
Nov. 10   @Austin College

I guess the Colorado College addition to the SCAC will not get Redlands a Trinity home game this year.

2003 was the last year that the Bulldogs beat the Tigers.  We can talk about streaks of who has beaten who but that would just be embarrassing for the Tigers. All this information has previously been stated.
http://www.redlands.edu/x3598.xml  Other that that, the OC job is wide open I have not heard anything but grumblings from my friends close to the program.  I will leave with this, there is no way that Oxy will schedule anyone other than Menlo or Lewis and Clark from the Northwest Conference unless Collins has some eligibility.

Collins indeed had one more year of eligibility but decided it was time to move on as evidenced by his appearance in the Aztec Bowl.

Oxy used to play Menlo, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Oaks return to the schedule as Colorado College joins the SCAC.

And thanks to OB for linking up that old post . . . also in response to DawgHeaven . . . as to the series record . . .

as they say in Texas . . . that Dawg won't hunt . . .

Even you Oxy guys have to admit that is a fairly impressive record.  I know all about the last two years.....you dont need to remind me.  I think with the outstanding freshman class UR had last year and hopefully again this year, combined with numerous returning starters on both sides of the ball, the future is very bright.

Tough days for Tiger Football.

I was referring to the last two UR seasons and that they were not on par with the history I posted.  I KNOW Oxy had a great 3 year run, it was a great one.  I was just pointing out to some that UR has had a pretty decent run since 1988.  It seems that many have forgotten the "dominance" of UR during those years.  Hopefully, next year will be a return of UR's success.  I think they have a very solid foundation to build on.

CarloRossiLep

I have been informed by a reliable resource that Don Morel is no longer leading the Leos to consistent 3-6 and 4-5 records.  Somebody please tell me more!  Anything... was he fired?  Finally hung 'em up?  Or just more than gently pushed into retirement.
Hail to the Orange!!!
