Ouch, Thats some harsh words from a Cal Lu Fan.

WT. I am sure that Cal Lu's athletics dept. is doing an extensive and careful search in finding a replacment for Coach S. In fact, i am sure that Cal Lu wants to find a person that can keep them aiming high in athletics and scholastics. More importantly, they want an H.C. who can keep them at the Top of the SCIAC hunt instead of taking several steps back. Whether its a person from the inside of the program or outside of the program, its all good if they are taking time.

WT-

According to the job posting they started reviewing paperwork on the 20th - they may be farther along in the process than we think.

Scandii-- They are doing a careful review because they want an HC that will keep them in hunt for the SCIAC crown. I think Cal Lu doesn't want to take any step back when they are returning a good Q.b, a good offense, and an up and coming defense.

Btw, whats the words on the Leo's? I am sure they are in the same thinking realm as Cal Lu? But whats the latest? They also return a decent Q.B in Doolittle and a decent OL, but not to sure about the entire defense.

Why do small school HC positions take so long to fill?  Is it that challenging to find the right guy?  They certainly move a lot faster at other levels.

Fight ULV

Brown Eagle, the word is that La Verne will be announcing its head coach on the 16th.

Wow, thats some great news.
sounds like the Leo's are making progress in their search for an H.C. Great to hear. Btw, is there any insight on who this might be. I understand that several post ago, many ULV insiders knew that current players, such as Doolittle, was on the search committee. Has any one asked him or have seeked insight from him with regard to ULV's new HC gig. I hope that they made a good decision and good choice.

I'm glad to hear that the search for the new coach is going well, but frankly anyone would be better than don morel.  He inherited a great program and really drove it into the ground.  It's a shame.  I really hope the next coach can turn it around.

THE LATEST ON THE CAL LU HEAD COACH SEARCH IS THAT THEY HAVE NARROWED THE FIELD DOWN TO 18. THEY HAD 48 APPLICANTS. MIGHT HAVE A DECISION BY APRIL 1ST. NICE TO SEE THAT THERE IS INTEREST BY COACHES WHO WANT TO COME TO CLU.

My guess is Fenwick.  He's been fired just about every place that he has been, but people do say good things about him.

snoop dawg

Just a question for you Leo guys, why would ULV give the qb Doolittle a say in the hiring of a new HC?
