The Real Deal got picked up by the NY Giants and will be at their May 11th Rookie Mini-Camp.

That's some great news about the "real deal". Congrats to Mr. Collins.
Now all the Giants have to do is move
tubby Jared Lorenzen to his real position at Left tackle and have Collins try out and win for that spot.
I am sure Corey will be representing oxy and the sciac very well as he prepares to amaze the gaints staff with his kicking skills.

Congrats to Collins.  A friend of mine is a coach with Green Bay, they liked Brett Elliot and also Collins.  I will try to find out if they actually made Collins an offer.  News at 11.

Great news Bob, I just got the email myself.  With any luck Andy will back-up and eventually take Eli's job.  Of course, Manning single handedly ruined my fantasy football season last year -- so I've got it out for him.

That's great news for Andy Collins!

It would not surprise me at all if he figured out a way to make the team.  He's a great athlete, but I think his character and resourcefulness will be the traits that serve him best in his efforts to play professionally.

I'm not sure about the assertion that Collins is the first Oxy quarterback in the NFL. I believe Jack Kemp played for the Steelers.

While you similarly noted the grevious error in the Oxy article (I'm calling them next) . . . I'm shocked at your response, especially given that you and Kemp went to school together . . . oh wait, you graduated before he did right?

Kemp was a qb for the Chargers and Bills of the old AFL . . . which, now that I think about it . . . may explain why the article refers to the first Oxy QB in the NFL.  Still, no excuse for not mentioning Kemp.

Holy cow, 4 games and 18 pass attempts for the Steelers before joining the (then) L.A. Chargers after being drafted by Detroit.

So I've learned two things . . . Steelers and Lions . . . great catch dude . . . I cannot even begin to fathom how your brain works.

Oh, and I had an egg salad sandwich, grapes and green tea while mediating a real property/contract dispute.

If Brett Elliott can't make the practice squad of an NFL team, what makes you think Collins will? Collins was a great DIII QB no doubt, but the NFL is at another level. Just my opinion.
