Only for about 20 years . . . admittedly sporadically the last five of those 20.  The advantage of rugby over football . . . continued social and sport engagement w/ your mates.

SnowLeopard

As I stated back in the spring, The Leopards do usually wake early and lift and run in the morning.

Not having Coach Durant for that year and a half hurt our off season program in a big way...
And this year... with no head coach until recently what can you expect...

As a Nor Cal boy I used to return to the bay area in the summer for financial resasons and to work with my dad. I got the best workouts I could at my high school, but that didn't do much for team chemistry... :P
Hail to the Orange, Hail to the Green,
Hail to the Leos, FIGHT ULV!!!

I've been away, so I am just catching up.

Say what you will, as someone stated weeks ago on PP, it takes some big kahones to roll the dice like this and make such a huge change this late in his career. I admire that.  He will have to earn that starting spot.

"McEnroe said Jones never met with him to tell him of his plans, and didn't return any of McEnroe's phone calls."

If he had real cojones he would have spoken directly to the coach he helped hire. :(

Fight ULV

CarloRossi and SnowLeopard answered the question quite adequately.  The workouts do go on in the morning and those who show up really bang it out in the weight room and out on the field, doing change of direction drills etc.  However, summer time at ULV looks like a ghostown for the most part.  I know that there are some guys (15 would be a good estimate) working out in the mornings during the summer right now and believe me when I say Coach Durant is getting after their a****.  I believe the girls soccer team also works out in the morning.

Hey SCIAC fans . . . head on over to the "General Football" board and look at the DIII Rivalries thread, feel free to jump into the discussion so that those east coasters get a bit 'o the left coast perspective.

OXYBOB-  I just signed in for the first time in about a week and got your message.  Many thanks for putting me over the Century Mark.

On an actual football related issue....I drove by the field at Cal Lu the other day and it looks terrible!  When are they going to stop using it for everything and take a little pride in it.  Put down some damn turf before it ends up looking like Whittier!!

This isn't nearly as scary as their new website (CMS as well) run by the same group as the one that runs the SCIAC site. :'(

Gray Fox:

Presto is running the new site. The old SCIAC site used to be run by College Sports Online. Surely that's the one you're sniffing about.

But really, it doesn't matter who designs the site as long as the same old information ... or lack of it ... goes in it.

Thank you.  I think the CSO group is the one I am complaining about. I didn't know they had actually changed.

I'm still hoping the SCIAC site will post the quarterly FAC meeting minutes as they used to do before the "outsiders" got involved. :)

I'm sure glad that the Leo's do work out in the morning because for a second i thought the football team just stopped caring for their program. Btw, i am sure of there was an award for early morning  work out commitment, it would go to the Leo's. However, that's as far as they will reach for a big award for their football program. (Just kidding.... Leo family. I just needed to do that.)

Well, fellow posters, its that time in which we all head our ways for summer vacation. I wish you all a happy, safe and exicting vaction and that you all get rested you for this upcoming football season. I am sure we will all be coming back with fresh and funnier rants and raves about our teams. Especially from the old folks like tooth, bob, dawg and the up and coming old fart in RFB.

Time to go see transformers yet again and start of a good vacation. (btw, that high school and the football field featured in the movie is my old stomping grounds)

BE....I've seen the movie . My (real  ;))daughters boyfriend helped design the special effects which are incredible, not much plot but action packed.
