Isn't that a I Love Lucy bit from one of the Vaudeville episodes?  I believe it was called "The Stranger with the Kind Face" then.

I tried to search out the episode, but unfortunately "Lucy's hair-brained scheme" came up for every episode.

Edit: Found it.

Episode #19: The Ballet
Film Date: January 11, 1952
Aired Date: February 18, 1952

Lucy performs an unexpected stint as a ballerina, then has a lesson in burlesque from a professional comic. Included is the classic routine: "Slowly I Turned."
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

Forgetting the kid's name. But whoever the kid is from ND Sherman Oaks heading to ND to backup J. Clausen- watched him last night and he looked terrible. Lacked the intensity for a 2 minute drill, made some really poor throws and save that one "hail mary" of a throw under pressure, skipping the ball to an open receiver in the endzone was just poor. How on earth is he a top / Blue Chip recruit?!
Now, this is just judging him on one performance. However... it really did seem that he lacked the fire in his eyes.

Ah well. A weekend with no CMS or SCIAC games... what does one do?

I think his name is Crist.  With a name like that, where else would he go? :D  I was only able to watch the first half.

ECS.......I know the kid very well.  I dont disagree with your assesment at all. He is a great kid and has worked very hard over the years.  He worked at Steve Clarkson's Air 7 Camp when my son was there. I think he is a very good QB but I think his ranking is very high.  Birmingham has a good defense but..........Cespi beat them with the second string soph Qb at the helm.   Maybe ND high school  is also overrated?   My son worked in the same group as Clausen and Herrik(Ole Miss) and from what I've seen, Crist is no where as good as Clausen.

Just our opinion.  On a good team, Clausen is a good QB.  ND sucks this year, from a fan of ND, not my favorite team, but had a good friend that played Qb there.

Good Luck to all SCIAC teams playing this weekend.  And thanks for the sound effects OB.

Just a reminder Dawg, only the mighty Poets play today and all the other SCIAC teams have a BYE week.

Anyways, with no SCIAC football around the Southland to watch, it's time to catch up on some baseball.

Hey ummalum,
What do got for us now   :D  Jones, 19-26 3 td's no picks against a 3-0 WIAC team. Razor didn't even get a snap in garbage time. Crow eater.

R U a knuckle head  ??? If Razor is so good then why didn't he start. Jones beat him out of the starting job fair and square. New coach, new system, new town, ugly women, a little love for the guy that laid it all out to be there to help the team win. Hey it will take about 3 minutes to get over the St. Cloud game. Short memory after he puts up big numbers against Lakeland. Re-post after Eu Claire game when it counts. .

As far as we are concerned JONES is not nearly as good as advertised, jake is so much better, take him back. RAZOR is the MAN

Whittier leads UPS going into 4th. 24-20, I believe. 4PM PST

Sabretooth Tiger

According to the D3 Scoreboard, it's 28-26 Whittier going into the 4th quarter . . . sounds like a barnburner.  Go Poets!

According to the two schools' schedule on d3football, the final is 28-26 for Whittier.
Good going, Poets.! :)

Great game poets...from everything I've read Whittier sounds like a good-program full of good-kids that are giving it their all on the field and in the classroom.  Anyways, there is good chance you'll get no respect from the UPS coach who thinks his team is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but again congratulations.  I'm don't know if having their starting QB Kavin WIlliams out due to a shoulder seperation last week, hurt UPS (since they don't throw the ball...ever) but he will be out for another couple of weeks, making the next few games (PLU, Linfield) a little tougher than they already were  :D

Congrats to the poets. Sounds like the purple people finally learned how to hang on and finish the game.  ;D
