She can't get enough of me . . . .

You can take care of that problem and your girlfriend by becoming "Smiling Bob" with a little help from Enzyte.

Hypothetically speaking, If my Bulldogs win out and Oxy does the same, will the SCIAC get two teams in the playoffs?  Whitworth would have to win out in order for this to be a debate, but it would be interesting.  For the record, I do not see any of the three winning out the rest of the season.

Pat Coleman

Not impossible even if Whitworth loses another game.

Man do I hate to say this but........I actually agree with Bob in some respects.  I didnt see the "chalk" block but....it did seem that the ref's were standing there with a rule book saying, lets see, what penalty havn't I called in a while. However, I didnt think the refs were the difference in the game.  To me the telling difference was the redzone stat, you have to do better than 1-3 inside the 20.  The int at the one was a killer.

I thought the dawgs were outplayed in the first half and were fortunate to have the score as it was at half time and that the dwags outplayed Oxy in the second half. The self destruction on the last drive may have been the difference.  Did the refs make some mistakes?   ??? ::) As long as they were not bias, then it's just part of the game.

RFB

Redlands did not dominate Oxy. It was a tale of two halves as Oxy did what they needed to do in the first and Redlands didn't do enough in the second. You can't expect to defeat a three time defending champion on their field with numerous turnovers and penalties.

Yes Redlands played very hard and did generate plenty of yards but they were kept out of the endzone when it counted. I would rather have 100 yards and a win than have 500 and a loss. Just ask Stanford if they care right now about offensive yards.

Hopefully Redlands wins out and the NCAA decides to give the SCIAC a chance with two teams. We have a better chance of catching Bigfoot then that happening. This is where that stupid game against Haskell comes back to bite us bigtime. Time to get Linfield on the schedule.

I thought it was funny that the reporter in the Redlands Daily Facts article whined about pass interference calls, like that's something out of the ordinary. The only place where I've seen pass interference called more frequently than in the SCIAC is on me when I'm hitting on women in a single's bar.

RFB.....I dont know if you were referring to my post or OB'S....I used the word outplayed.  Your assessment is right on.  I dont think either team ....dominated ....the other.

And with those great key points and arguments RFB and Bob, i think we can all agree that this one is in the books and we should all start looking forward to this weeks games. At least that's what i hope we should do. ;D

Anywho's, although, the tigers are playing a La Verne squad that is struggling, i still hope that they don't overlook them. (we don't want the tigers to pull a USC on us do we). I am sure the men in orange and black will spend more than enough time studying game video (from themselves and from La Verne) in order to fix any kinks.

What do you guys think about this week's games?

That would require LaVerne to pull a Stanford.

We have a better chance than that.... I mean how could the NCAA resist a 1st round Redlands/Oxy matchup.  Total Cost to NCAA = $70 in gas money.  :-\
Go TIGERS!!!

What do you guys think about this week's games?

La Verne (0-4) @ Oxy (4-0)
Pomona (2-2) @ Redlands (3-1)
Whittier (2-2) @ Chapman (2-2)
Claremont (1-3) @ Cal Lutheran (2-2)

I do not see any letdown for Oxy. It'll be a blowout.

Redlands will lick their wounds, rebound, and beat up on Pomona.

Cal Lutheran looked solid against Whittier. I was frankly surprised that Claremont did so poorly against Chapman. CLU will win at home against CMS.

Whittier got a strong dose of reality the other day against CLU. The Poets better play a whole lot better if they want to have a chance on the road against Chapman. At least the ride home will be shorter, eh, FTP?

OxyBob

I'll go out on a limb and say Oxy and Redlands win by a wide margin. :)
Cal Luthren must be the best team in the conference since they destroyed the Poets. ;)
CLU 150  CMS 0

I've seen Chapman play. They are a good team. IF The Poets hold on to the ball, it should be a tight game.
