TDT-  I got ya.  Not really a whole lot of interesting stuff to talk about  when we have only one team playing tomorrow.

What is the hotel situation like around St. Johns?  I would love to come up there next season for a game and see what it's all about.  Any suggestions?

Since we're on the topic of White Castle, I'll retell a story from last fall:

So...let's hear some football player eating stories.

I didn't play football, but...

I was hanging out with some high school buddies the summer after, roughly, sophomore (college) year.  We were each working on our own (warm) box of Franzia.  I mentioned I could really go for some White Castles.  Another guy challenged me, saying he could put away more sliders than I could.  A buddy returned with a 20-pack and we each grabbed 10.  After those were gone, and another 20-pack was retreived, the real contest began.

11... 12... 13...  Doing OK, think I can make it...  14... 15... 16...  Realllllllly wish I hadn't drank a warm box of wine...  17... 18... 19...  God, I hate hate myself so much right now, but I can't let that jackasshole win....  and...  swallow back the puke... 20!

It ended in a tie as neither of us wanted to either admit defeat or eat one more goddamn slider.

Remember George Brett flipping out in the Pine Tar game?  Yeah, that was pretty much my asshole the next day.  Not good times.  It took me over 5 years, but I'm proud to say I'm back on the White Castle bandwagon.

GO JOHNNIES!!!

D O.C.

I know it will just make the rest of the world, including Alcatraz, upset but McDonalds outdid the In n Out urge with it's new market Angus Burger.

Kofed will come out a tad shaky since his friends read this board and have told him how doubting the johns have been about him since his first year. Look for the runs and the trickery to begin immediately.
Bulldogs should go all out on every play like it's their last or it very well may be. Doubt that Maynard & Co. have looked down the bracket like those vets who finished second and got a home game have.   8)

Saint John's is off in the woods and prairies, but the metropolis that is St. Cloud is a 15 minute drive away.  It's a fairly good sized town (60,000?), so there is plenty of lodging.  Saint John's is also less than 90 miles from Minneapolis/Saint Paul if you're looking for the big-city action.  Let us know if/when you come and we'll make sure you're taken care of.

It's just how the Johnnies roll....

Not TC - he likes to talk football  :)

Yesterday it was soccer talk, today it's another installment of Where Not to Vacation in California.  If this is what you talk about during football season, how depressing does it get here in the offseason?

I guess we'll find out in about 48 hours.

I have a similar request to Wild Thing's, except it's regarding the Twin Cities.  I am heading back there in December to watch the Vikes trounce the Bears on Monday night (at least I am hoping for a better outcome than the last time I saw the Vikes in person, which was Super Bowl XI - also before WT was born).  I'm staying at the downtown Embassy Suites, and would appreciate any advice on what to do while I'm back there (fear not - my cousin is already taking me ice fishing).

Thanks, TC - but I am too old (I can remember Super Bowl XI well) and way too married to partake in that particular form of entertainment ;) I do appreciate the thought.

Now we are on to strip clubs.  I like where this is going.

You are in luck Scandihoovian as Ritz72, Frank Rickard, and myself stayed at the DownTown Embassy Suites last weekend.  Real nice location to walk to the MetroDome.  Make sure to go down to the atrium for the 5:30-7:30 Happy Hour and the breakfast in the morning.  There was lots of "talent" around the hotel while we were there so that is always a plus.  If you want restaurant/bar recommendations we can work with ya.

Well yes sir that goes without saying.  What doesn't however is the TRIPLETS part?  Are you kidding TDT? That is Divine Intervention if I've ever seen it.  If one of them wasn't stoopin with Dr. Phil's kid I'd post their pic on the board.

The old joke in Redlands is that you have to lower standards in college becasue the girls are not as pretty as your home town.  If you want to see hotties you will visit the Johnston complex at UofR.   ;D
As far as White Castle, the fries with melted cheese is a good idea, but is still trumped by Animal Style fries at In&Out.

Man, D.H, thanks for the Link. These pictures just finish killing the White Castle debate and offically ended the debate in general. In-N-out in a rout.  ;D
I'll be sure to visit La Verne's In-N-Out before i head off campus tonight.
