OB, are you retired?  You have waaaay to much time on your hands.  Again, very funny stuff.

I know you wont believe me but Billy B is a very close friend.  His real last name is Douglas.  "Nightshift", was his first movie.
What is the reference to Billy B? He is a character in the movie.

FTP.......from the 'burgh and proud of it.  Mike and I went to grade school and high school together and shared an apartment out here for about a year while I was a starving law student and he was a fumbling, bumbling waiter. Then he got really lucky, talent had nothing to do with it.  ;)

Tired eyes... much longer to go. Fortunately, Starbucks opens in 2.5 hours.

I'll proudly take my "award" for unbiased posting. I do attempt to remain unbiased, even when looking at my own team. Though, I'll always pick them. Plain and simple, I am a devout fan of DIII and love to break it down. I know I have my prideful moments, get caught in my own opinion, etc. But, at the end of the day - it is a beautiful game.

With the Redlands schedule set for next year. I wonder how the CMS schedule will look? Not that anyone else should happen to care about this. But, with Kenyon and the NCAC locked up with the UAA contract, that is one open spot. Maybe someone besides UPS? 4 years of "almost" might mean it is time for a new face or two. Assuming Chapman stays, space for two new "faces". In terms of similar schools and looking for that overnight trip - someone to add might be W&L. W&L plays in a good conference and has performed well over the last several years. Very similar schools academically, student body, etc. Virginia is a nice place to visit. Plus - tons of D.C. alums might want to trek out. Either that or Hopkins. That might make more sense as Hopkins is much closer. We had a solid NYC turn out at MMA/King's Point.

Now, I still wonder, what is Mr. Jones going to do now? Return to CLU to graduate? Stay at UWW for another 1.5 years? Interesting situation. No argument here - he made the best football / business decision possible.

Oh look, a dollar and some change! Now I can raid the vending machine in the basement.... strange... now I feel like that guy that I always walk past in the mornings... at least money can buy temporary happiness in the form of WheatThins.

PS: dear recent OXY grad... delay the real world just another couple months. It can wait until the summer/fall.

ECS.......I think DJ has opened many opportunities for employment for himself in Wisc. if he chooses to live there.  His new found fame should help lead him to a good situation in...."the real world".  Man I hate that term, makes me feel really old, the good news is, I'm almost done with the "real world" and soon get to enter....the "not too old folks play world" 8)

He's going to be a favorite in UWW for a long long time to come. You are completely right. Alums, profs (unless they are the football hating kind, ie Scripps), etc will love the kid.

Just think about Beaver too.

I was just thinking in terms of actual academics. However, since it is a state school, I suppose they might be willing to wave certain requirements. He did just help (significantly) to bring home a national championship.

If he has to stay for another year or so to graduate, I can see him being a grad ass. coach?? Hadn't thought of that before. Almost considered doing that to stay on and add an additional major myself. Neither here nor there now.

To be slightly Pitzer-esque... "what is the real world anyway man... it's like just one giant sellout to the man, man... you just do nothing, man... come over here, sit down, take a hit and let's dreadlock our hair and sit in a big, giant happy circle and show the man we don't need him... (all while driving BMWs and being funded by mommy and daddy)" edit: not bitter, they make me chuckle.. and besides, their dining hall had great dessert. Although, I still prefered taking the giant 10+ gallon tubs of ice cream to the football tables @ CMC during preseason.

Ah but seriously, the "not too old folks play world" is a good one in which to be. My grandfather lives the life. I'm just going to be about 80 by the time I'm able to get there....

Apologies for rambling on - exhausted and sans sleep for last 36 hours.
