The politics discussion is not something we want on the conference boards, either.

In preservation of their In-Region records, their dignity, and their natural essences; both Northwestern and Alma have dropped themselves off the Ram schedule from their annual whuppin'  ;)

I have no idea who we are adding...but your Spartans took my SCIAC suggestion and are heading out to my old home town of Redlands...I would have rather seen my Rams make that trek.

I hear that maybe Grinnell becomes one of our next non-conference victims.

Maybe we can go kick LaVerne around or something, or Louise and Clark since Oxy finally dropped them.  Actually I'd like to see them play any SCIAC team away since that is closer to home.  Travel $ are prohibitive.
Does anyone know anything about this?  This could make OB a very happy man.

Check out the roster for Dubuque.  They have lots of players from Florida.

Three areas Dubuque tries to recruit (besides the tri-state area of IA, IL and WI) are Florida, Michigan and California.  Not as many numbers out of Cali recently but scheduling Redlands for next season might be an indication they are trying to hit that area harder in the future.

That and the fact that it will be a good road trip.  Who wouldnt want to jump on a plane and go play the opening game in SoCal.  I mean that would be a trip.

I can think of one team who got a schlacking (spelling) when they took a little jaunt out west to play a SCIAC team at the beginning of the year...

Two months until spring ball! I wonder if DIII will ever go with pads in the spring? They get what 12-15 practices? How much could it possible hurt for everybody to get 6-8 practices in pads? Even shells? I think that would be acceptable. I really do think it is sometihng the NCAA should consider.

Some of the conferences do far less than even what is allowed.  I think the MIAC allows something like 8 practices and no scrimmaging (not even a 7 on 7).  Maybe if the split D3 one of the groups will go more that way, but I wouldn't expect the SCIAC to be among the group that does.

I think you will be hard pressed to ever see the D3 boys in pads in the spring.  We might as well start scholorshiping them then.  The founding principal of d3 athletics as all of us know is education first and athletics second.  Athletics are seen as enriching the whole academia experience.  Do I think you have a great idea, of course, will it happen?  Not likely from the people I have talked with.

In most states I believe you need to go 18-25 years before applying for parole. ;D

He is a great coach and Whittier is lucky to have and keep him.
