Thanks, Tooth. I like the banter between our two conferences.  I think of you guys as our left coast brothers.
Two words:  THE STREAK

NWC Fans,

We know that the SCIAC board  is the more exciting because it is more balanced in it's posters.

The other board is Linfield and, as Tuxguy might say, the "After Six".  :P

[zing]I do enjoy coming in here and making fun of Maynard for continuing a wonderful tradition of ducking Linfield.  I offered to pay for the Redlands phone bill but I guess Maynard feels insulted if a Linfield person offers to pay for anything. [/zing]

Without a doubt they are welcomed here. Most of us do chime in on their board for football, basketball and baseball talk. With out such diversity, i'm affraid all you would get is Snoop, Bob, the newbie's, Tooth, GFox, Scandii, RFB, and myself posting.

Ladies and gentlemen,
You guys read it here. Good ol' RFB picks the men in orange and black to re-take the SCIAC crown next year. I mean look at his post, he clearly points and picks Oxy as being by far the 08 champs.  ;) Hahaha

Jesus Christo... I get a lecture on being welcoming to the NWC guys. Come on now. I know both boards are esentially tied. I thought the pissing the catbox thing was funny. Easy Tooth, I know there is mutual banter. Someone shoulda seen my as just such. Anyone is always open to rip on any team at anytime be it NWC or SCIAC. Lord knows I do it to my own team from time to time. No offense Tooth, i've always respected your opinions... but that was just a slightly unncessary comment from you.. just as unncessary as mine before it. In case I didn't notice.. I've been around the board for a while and reading it since '04 as a player.
And that's all water under the bridge now... moving on.

Yes, so when will Redlands play Linfield? The Oxy games against Linfield were solid... I would love to see more games against the NWC. I did enjoy my games against NWC teams... although I must say Tahoma wasn't much of a fun trip.

ECS, You post on everyboard board in the D3 nation wide including ladies water polo but that's a good thing. Nothing wrong with reaching out across party lines. I applaud your passion. +k to u
I'm not sure what the gardener by day and janitor by night, Jesus Christo has to do with D3 sports but whatever floats his boat.  ;D

HA! Easy there Stealth, make the gardener comment at Pitzer or Pomona and they'll ring you up for a hate crime... but then again there was that time we (and by we I mean me) clipped up the bumperstickers made by the women's forum to form new, offensive phrases... it only took them a month to wise up and choose a new form of advertising. Somehow they did not find my work amusing? How did I get out without getting written up for at least one offense? Lord knows.

I didn't know there was a ladies water polo board?? I much prefer volleyball though, those little shorts are just too attractive. Translation - if I ever have a daughter, she's never playing volleyball.

So serious question: why is there no contract between the SCIAC and NWC for out of conference play? I am sure this has been a question / proposition before. However, this seems incredibly logical to me.
Actually, the most logical thing would be a 10 game schedule with 6 in-conference games and 2-3 games with the NWC per team. If Chapman was not an independent, that might help things as well. I'm just thinking that with Colorado College now in a different conference (or in a conference for the first time??, I don't remember the details...), scheduling teams might become more difficult. Also, I am assuming that travel budgets are not that large for some teams in the conference (I know CMS is one). I am sure this has been discussed time and time again. Just something for thought.

Second serious question: how are our dear teams doing on recruiting this year? Any news?

Finally, I have little to no passion. It has left, as I become a jaded, bitter and cynical person. Back to work... at least there is heat in the office this weekend.

Damn Chinese New Year's Parade! Stop being so loud. I can't hear my keystrokes.

ps: Lindsay Lohan pictures... surprising... I thought after her lifestyle of the last several years she would look horrible. Not bad.

What is the deal with Chapman?  They would seem to be the perfect fit for the SCIAC geographically.  Though if they end up playing most of the SCIAC teams anyway maybe they aren't that motivated to join up.

ECS obviously never got a good look at two-time All-American Nicole Pecel of CLU's D-III national champion water polo team:

Oooo La La.

Not too shabby. They don't have that back home in Maine (or up here in SF for that matter).
