Made it to the Stockton Lightning - Boise Burn game. Collins looked good throwing and ran for 2 TDs. But Casey Allen had the big play as he caught the game winning TD pass with about 6 seconds left as Boise, behind the entire game, came back for a 55 - 51 win. Here are a couple of pictures. I'll have more later, I have to get to bed, tomorrow, NASCAR at Infineon.

Sounds like our former D3 players are getting their shots at the next level. Congrats to Mr. Collins, Clay G, Casey et al. for doing their best in trying to represent their new teams and of course their old teams.

Btw, great pics once again Cawcdad.

Good to see the SCIAC boys doing well in the pro ranks, even if it is Europe or AFL2, it is still noteworthy. Congrats to all.

Less than 2 months to go...

. . . . I'll have more later, . . .
The arena wouldn't let me take my "long" lens in, so I was stuck with my slow, poorer quality lens. Needless to say, the action shots didn't turn out. But, here are a couple of more Andy Collins pictures for the SCIAC crowd.

Glad to hear about Collins success (not a shocker) and the facilities upgrades at Whittier.

And now, a true SCIAC rarity, Sage Hen recruiting news.  The VC Star Scholar-Athlete of the year, Jack Knauer from Newbury Park, is headed to Pomona.

Speaking of being asleep at the wheel, how is George W. Bush?

OxyBob

Asleep at the wheel? No, he's up and at 'em with his eye on the ball. Especially on the issue of the so called 'global warmings' that are happening.  ;)

Global warming is crap science.  The fact that humans think they have that much impact on the earth is egotistical.  The earth is billions of years old.  When the earth is tired of us it will shake humans off like a bad cold.  90% of all species in the history of the world are extinct.  You think its all our fault. Please.

Now I have no problem with pollution reduction technology, recycling etc., to make the earth more livable, but gimmie a break.  But to think that Al Gore and those of his ilk have the solution, is a lie.  Gore is getting rich... $100 million dollars rich (so far) off of BS. Meanwhile that fat load has the one of the biggest carbon footprints of any single person.

We are carbon breathers. So we pollute by breathing.  Come on.  The new robber barrons of green are suckering the public.  If China, India and others aren't going to participate, what the US does is pretty pointless.

So if I apply this logic to Acid Rain, would one venture that we as humans are the not the creators of Acid Rain, and this phenomenon is part of the cycle of the Earth.

The earth will, of course, shake us off like a bad cold . . . the planet will survive well, evolution will continue . . . but the rate of global warming is absolutely tied to the production of carbon dioxide from the industrial revolution . . . the RATE of change is at a pace historically unprecedented . . . and it only really matter our children and grandchildren who will be hear to deal with the impact on societies, economies, food supplies and the like.

And sure, if China and India aren't going to do anything, why even bother?

Let's just get ours now, enjoy life, who gives a crap about future generations!

That's clearly been the mantra in the White House for the past 7.5 years.

Oh . . . and "robber barons of green" . . . **** dude, you crack me up.

You guys are headed into Liberty League territory with all the politics talk.  :-\

Not today Tooth. I took the day off because 1) had to help the younger sibling pack up before she heads up north for school, 2) it was hot and 3) i was getting over a hang over from partying to much last night in celebration of my b-day.
Hope to see you around sometime later this week at the Rock.

btw, did you guys here about U of G's Uga recently dying of heart failure. Sounds like it might be the year of the "choking pup". I bet UOR is a bit worry by now.
