If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I've been out of the country for the past 18 days ... and was sorry to see the UD - Redlands score.

Is it true that Redlands refused to do a "home and home" series with UD, preferring instead to load up their home schedule whenever possibe?  Also, is it ture that they refused to send UD any game films?
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Stout will maybe win 3, max 4 games this year.

Considering they have already won 2, I don't see the logic of this statement flash.

Here we go again. First, Redlands blackballed Whitworth las year in the playoffs and now this. Plain and simple your Spartans got monkey stomped. Time to move on and concentrate on the rest of your schedule.

Still doesn't change the fact you refused to share game film.  Plus, an assistant for Redlands was the starting QB for Central last year...someone with a lot of knowledge of Dubuque, if not access to Dubuque gamefilm.  And it also won't change the fact we get to see all these posts about how hard it is to fill out a schedule for the west coast teams.  If you only want to schedule 1 game series with a home game and refuse to travel you will continue to have problems.  Thing is, Redlands is the superior team, they didn't need to resort to refusing to share game film and only scheduling home games.

My point is that this is all speculation. I heard from so and so who heard from so and so's brother who is a distant cousin to the backup quarterback.

Are you directly involved with the program? Has the Athletic Director directly told you that Redlands would not do a home and home. Has the Head Coach told you that Redlands would not exchange game film?

Do you really want to cry spilled milk because Redlands hired a GA from Central? I see it as Coach Maynard hired an oustanding future coach who happened to be the IIAC MVP last year.

Was the Dubuque coaching staff incapable of making halftime adjustments? You see, Redlands won on the field by a big margin. Next years schedule and an alleged lack of game tape exchange would not have changed the result.

I agree w/ this statement......very good hire!

The Dubuque AD on their webcast of the game stated they wanted to do a home and home but Redlands would only play a 1 game series at Redlands.  He also stated that Redlands refused to trade game film.  He mentioned that it was customary to trade each teams last two games but Redlands refused.

Redlands would beat Dubuque 10 times out of 10.  Redlands is the better team.  It doesn't change the fact that refusing to trade film is a bad reflection on the program.

D O.C.

Perhaps in the near future Dubuque  and Haskell can share expenses for the ride out.

Doolittledog,

I think the reason why Maynard doesn't want to go to Iowa next season is that United just bumped up their 2nd bag check fee to $50 per bag.  That was a deal killer for the Dawgs.  Blame United.

Perhaps resourcefulness is an issue here as well. I'm sure there are plenty of teams that your program is in good graces with that would have no problem sending over some Redlands film.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

My point is that Coach Maynard is being made out to be a classless guy which is absolutely b*ll****! Maybe Dubuque contacted Redlands and needed a game and Redlands said one game at Redlands.  Take it or leave it.

We don't know what happened. We don't have the information that these decisions are based on.

Ask the Patriots for game film. They have it for everyone even CFL teams . ;D  At the D3 level not so sure it means all that much for a player to go into coaching for another team and have a major impact on game day. Maybe in the film room. Would that person have some tendency knowledge, probably. Nothing more. Players still have to play.
