Cal Lutheran kicker Damron earns honor

Second-year kicker Jackson Damron of Cal Lutheran was selected to the Consensus Draft Services Division III Preseason All-America second team.

Damron made 17 field goals in 23 attempts to tie a school record. Damron booted seven kickoffs for touchbacks. He is the lone SCIAC player to earn a spot on one of the CDS teams.

Cal Lutheran will open the season Sept. 12 against Willamette in Oregon.
