No shame in that loss, Oxy. It was a good game and Saunders is a beast.

Thanks for the free video, with your guys doing the announcing. They were as unbiased as home guys could be. Pretty cool to have PC as the color man, too.

Thanks for a good game Oxy!  I really enjoyed the Oxy Campus (hadn't been there since I was in Highschool).  Good game--stayed interesting till the end.  Sorry I missed meeting you guys (Bob, Oxyfan, etc.).  I was a bit slow in getting to the campus and didn't have time to hit the tailgait.  Maybe I'll come out for the Redlands game....  Good Luck from here to the Tigers.

Great game this evening. Two heavy weights slugging it out. Much better than the CLU 49 - PLU 7 game I saw earlier in the day.

Just marked the Occidental - Redlands in Eagle Rock game on my calendar. OXY couldn't run much but played a heck of a game.

I know this isn't the sound-bite that they wanted to hear . . . but Oxy showed a ton of grit in a tough loss to a solid Linfield squad.  Here are some pics from last night's game:

It was also great meeting so many of the NWC d3boards.com posters before the game.

On the drive home I was think about what I saw and heard. One thing that impressed me was how well both coaching staffs must have studied film. Maybe I shouldn't be, but I was amazed at the number of times the DCs for both teams were calling out to their teams what the play was going to be and were correct. Leaving it up to the players to see who simply executed better.

Here are some more photos (not as good as Oxy Fan's) from the Oxy -Linfield game: http://www.pictureprints.net/albums.php?gallery=3022

Also some from the Cal Lu - PLU game: http://www.pictureprints.net/albums.php?gallery=3021

Just got back to the harbor.  What a trip.  Props to Oxy,  they played their A$$ off all night, wouldn't go away.  It was great to finally meet the Oxy posters.  And actually met Pat pre game.  I think I surprised him that I am somewhat normal !!  Until I post that is.

ROCKETMAN  did a great job tonight.  I know he will say it wasn't his best performance, but bringing the Cats back for a W , being a leader, and just making big plays in a big game, says it all.  As for Simon, talked to him this morning at the motel, what a quality young man.  He played well last night.  As for the break,  thats football--Simon will be back.  Bigger and badder than ever.

Good luck to Oxy on their run.

D.O.C.- I will also be at that game, it should be another great game between two well coached SCIAC teams, hopefully OXY security can tighten up this year....
It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up.

If I could +K you know I would.  In a related question, how many of the 5 straight years of wins over Redlands have we been picked by D3football.com to lose?  I'm almost positive that at least the past 3 years Oxy's been picked to lose to Redlands in either Kickoff or the game week predictions.
